Late at night when you are alone at home in your locked house you feel safe, secure, at peace and one with your private thoughts and ideals, yet this security is a delusion. For there across the room is your computer web cam and behind that camera, in some other dark room, your murderer watches you and waits. The Chat Room, uncovers the hidden truths of our own misguided sense of security and privacy while on the computer to the most grisly, vial and demented conclusion. In the society we live today, no one really knows of the suffering that we place on other by our own misguided and unyielding actions of our past. Not until at least, one day, a knock from our past is heard upon our door, its creator seeking to cool their anger and rage by bathing in a pool of our own blood. Only then, when it is too late, do we seem to care. Only then, will retribution be made whole.

Reviews:
"The Chat Room" is a jewel of a story. It's a good read with a smooth, writerly style. The author adapts the suspense tale to a contemporary audience in an intriguing way. Were it not for references to current technology, it could as easily be an Agatha Christie thriller. "The Chat Room" is a worthwhile addition to the mystery/thriller/suspense genre. --- Dr. T. M. Tomaszek
This timely novel is a well-written account of a relationship that too many of us are familiar with: a computer keyboard. We feel safe on the other side of the screen, like we can say or do anything. Like dismissing someone as if they were nothing was not a great sin of humanity. This author painfully addresses some really cancerous aspects of society. This will be an excellent book! --Amazon.com

In 2004 Troy began working on his own life once again and enrolled at Davenport University in hopes of obtaining his BS in law.
