About me: I'm your average struggling writer -- I've got two novels out there -- a superhero/comedy called Other People's Heroes and a suspense novel called The Beginner (both available on Amazon.com) and a comic book story in the Futurius anthology (check out Futurius.net) I put a lot of wacky stuff .. -- columns, reviews, semi-amusing rants and so forth. I do the weekly Everything But Imaginary column and a LOT of reviews every week at Comixtreme.com. I do general humor columns and other reviews at articles at Think About It Central (including a new TAI column every Friday). Oh, and my good buddy Chase and I co-host the weekly 2 in 1 Showcase Podcast, a cool little chat about comics, hosted by Comixtreme and available on iTunes. Click on the buttons to subscribe!
Who I'd like to meet: Reconnect with old friends, plus talk to anyone who likes to read, watch movies, chat about pop culture, or enjoys a good laugh. And, of course, anyone hip enough to listen to our podcast.
The Nicholls Players of Nicholls State University would like to announce its latest student production, “A Student Showcase.” This theatrical event is a variety show that highlights the many talents of the Nicholls Players. It features ten-minute plays by playwrights such as David Ives and Nick Zagone, as well as music from Broadway favorites Chicago and Avenue Q. The show has been completely conceived and produced by students, from directing to design. This comedic night can be compared to Saturday Night Live, as it does contain adult content and language, so viewer discretion is advised.

It’s just another quiet morning in the Brewster family home – tea is being served, newspapers are being read, and there’s a body in the window seat! The laugh-out-loud thriller comedy Arsenic and Old Lace centers around the Brewster ladies, Abby and Martha. These two sweet old ladies take it upon themselves to help lonely old men find piece – by poisoning them. Uproarious comedy ensues when the Brewster nephews Mortimer, a theatre-hating dramatic critic, and Jonathan, a homicidal maniac, enter the picture.
The Nicholls Players of Nicholls State University will be presenting Joseph Kesselring’s Arsenic and Old Lace from March 19 -22. Productions will begin at 7:30pm with a Sunday matinee at 3pm. All productions will be held in Talbot Theatre. Tickets will be $10 for general admission and $5 for students of all ages.

it was "The Bluest Eye"...i read the summary of it on wikipedia...it deals with racism, rape and child molestation...i don't know where the cat idea came from...as i said, i only read a little in 10th grade before it was pulled from the class. wikipedia said a parent in california went to the school board and had them pull it from all the schools in the district. they told them they would remove it from the curriculum but it would be available for checkout in the library.
Please do not drown, get blown away or eaten by alligators displaced by the storms. Of course, if I had to choose, I'd go with the alligator thing. That would be an awesome story to get to tell people! Be safe.
