Chi sono:

My name is Mark. I live and work in BP, MN where I am the associate pastor at St John Lutheran Church. That means I get to do a lot of stuff like preach, teach confirmation, go to summer camp, preside at weddings and funerals, baptize people, and hang out with some pretty cool kids.

I'm a pretty laidback guy. I like to have a good time and laugh a lot. I think that most anything is bearable if you come at it with a sense of humor and a willingness to laugh (especially at yourself). Some things I enjoy are: riding my bike, lawn gnomes, Guitar Hero, slushies, reading good books and hearing good stories, and sitting around a campfire with friends.

I don't like doing laundry, when people are mean or rude to each other, freezing cold weather, raccoon and bats. Bat are pretty much my archnemesis..


Immaturity is just a word for people who dont know how to have fun

I'm open to meeting all sorts of people. I like variety and diversity, and enjoy spending time with all sorts of different people. I think we can learn a lot from all sorts of people, especially those who are different from us. The major requirements are that you have a good sense of humor, are open minded, show some compassion and that you bathe on a semi-regular basis. Other than that, a lot of it can be open for negotiation. Oh, and if you would be willing to go out for pizza a lot, then I might be willing to forget some of the requirements. Pizza means that much to me.

        Mark; a story you might appreciate...

        The other night, I was up really late in my room here at the Mothership. I finally laid down in my bed and was trying to go to sleep. Well, all of a sudden, I heard a scratching in between the walls. I sat up in my bed, totally freaked out; full well KNOWING it was a bat somewhere in the building. So, as I sat up, I started yelling, "GO AWAY!" Mind you, it's like 2 a.m. So, I turned on my t.v. and pointed it into the room to give light because I was too afraid to get out of my bed to turn on my light. So, the sound stopped and I was finally able to go to sleep. So, a week or two later, we had a mandatory dorm meeting, during which, I asked the RA if we could call her at 3 in the morning if there are bats. She said, "You don't need to freak out about bats. They're not bad." And I told her, "You obviously don't know my phobia of bats." and I regaled the group with the story I just told you. At the end, the guy who lives in the next room over said, "I was wondering what you were screaming, 'Get OUT!' for. Now I know." Since then, tho, I've not heard any more. Thank the Lord.
