   Everyday Democracy's Blurbs
About me:

What issues concern your community? Ending racism? Boosting educational opportunity and achievement? Handling rapid growth and sprawl? Building strong neighborhoods? Everyday Democracy - formerly the Study Circles Resource Center - helps communities address all these issues and more. By bringing large and diverse groups of people together, first to talk about, then to ACT on issues, people in your community can work together to create positive community change. If you can imagine the sort of community, school, or neighborhood that works better for everyone, every day, we can help you get there. Watch the video at left to learn a bit more about how one community (Syracuse, New York) has used large-scale, inclusive dialogues (sometimes called study circles) to address racism.

Thanks for supporting Kiva! Helping hard working people receive a fighting chance to lift themselves out of poverty is a cool thing. "Do good." :)

More information about Kiva. org, which was recently featured in Bill Clinton's book, "Giving", The Wall Street Journal (A New Generation Reinvents Philanthropy) and Yahoo's People of the Web (The $10 Million Giveaway), can be found at kivafriends. org, kivapedia. org and right here on our Kiva MySpace page!
