If I don't like a movie...it's got to be REALLY bad. I guess I have an uncanny ability to "park my brain at the door!" That aside, I usually get very interested in movies based on true stories, and then research them online for hours afterwards like a real geek, ridiculous comedies that remind me of my high school and college days like Dazed and Confused, Old School, and Superbad to name a few. I also like action movies, especially the comic book remake/craze that's happening now, classics a la Cassablanca, and I can even appreciate a good love story if it's not too Hollywood.
Television
Just recently got cable for the 1st time in about 15 years as it was bundled with high-speed internet - ha! So - here goes - Entourage, Family Guy, Sopranos, Conan O'Brien, NHL Hockey, NBA Basketball, Flight of the Conchords, SNL, David Letterman, Seinfeld, Heroes, The Office (UK), Smallville...and I'm sure there's others...?
Books
Music Business and Tax Guides - hahaha! I've read a few good fiction and non-fiction books, but generally prefer movies and music to reading.
Heroes
So many...but I mostly respect those who've made a difference in the lives of those around them and those who make this world a better place to live. So - My parents, my sister, a lot of family and friends, and the Robin Hood's of the world (not the thieving part...but the taking of excess riches to help the sick and under-privileged).

Hi,
I was born and raised around Canada's capital, but spend most of my time off now at my apartment in Music City, Nashville. My experience (typically playing about 200 shows a year!) and talent allow me to tastefully combine a great groove with the right chops. I'm a drummer who understands what it means to 'play for the song' (the most important part!). I show up for every performance mentally and physically prepared to devastate, and my passion and enthusiasm for music have earned me several outstanding musicianship awards, an endorsement with Istanbul Agop Cymbals, and a seat on stage with artists such as New Music Weekly's 2006 "Top Male Artist of the Year" and two-time Grammy Award nominee Tim Murphy (Big 7), The Town Pants (Maximum/Universal), Matt Stillwell (Still7), Aaron Shea (NTM), Amanda Rheaume (Independent charting on college radio and appearing on MTV), Hennessey/Sugarjack (PopGuru/Universal), Terry Tufts (NorthernBlues), and guest appearances with Spirit of the West (WEA), and Shania Twain (Mercury Nashville).
I'm currently touring with Kristen Lee aboard Celebrity's Millenium cruise ship. I'm also happy to take on any gigs when I'm available. So far this year I've played with:
Kristen Lee
Chris Nathan
Matt Stillwell
McKenzie's Mill
Veronica Leigh
Kate Bradley
Van Preston
Brian James
Aaron Shae
Paul Newton
Valerie McLeod
Jeff Batson
Marthia
Jason Clutter

Please give a listen to the media player on the left featuring songs by artists that I've had the pleasure of playing and/or recording with!
All the best!
Cheers,
Gilles

"Gilles can play anything and everything with great feel and groove and rock and ease...and he’s an excellent person to share the stage with."
- Pamela Brennan (NorthernBlues Music)
"Running on all cylinders all of the time, Gilles is on a mission to make a lot of good music with a lot of good people...from project to project, as producer, drummer or supporter, Gilles Nadon fills a big pair of shoes."
- George Birchall (Independent)
"Gilles lives and breathes drums. If he plays them any more he will turn into one himself. He eats off an upturned cymbal, his laundry hamper is a kick drum, his front door operated by a high-hat foot-pedal, and his car steering wheel a rototom!"
