This is a police/fire demo done at Agnes Baptist Elementary (Modesto, Ca.) on Monday November 24th. Agnes Baptist is working with SCOE and the people at EMM to pilot EMM in after school programs. This whole month the kids have been learning about gratitude and appreciation. They began the unit with people who work in their school, then they learned about our troops, and finally they learned about fire and police. They have been writing letters of gratitude to all of these people throughout the month. Monday we had the MPD and Modesto Fire 11 come out to do demos for the kids and they had a chance to present these men and women with their gifts of appreciation and gratitude. In exchange, they learned all about their jobs, meet police, k-9, and firefighters, and get to learn about safety. I run the program at Agnes Baptist and here are some pictures from that day. The best way to give is to teach people how to give. Enjoy and happy holidays!
