A TASTE of what is to come at our benefit show pm JULY 12!!!!!!
Disembodied / Pure Filthy Delicacy
EVERYTHING FALLS DARK is a San Antonio based, not that young anymore metal band. Haha. They are a group of very enthusiastic teenagers who play with a passion! The band has vowed to not follow any certain genre of metal. The songs are played and created out of whatever the members are feeling at the time. That would explain the never ending different sounds of metal being pumped through the veins of the listener. With their terrifying, but coherent sound, Everything Falls Dark will introduce you to a whole new take on the metal genre as a whole.
The band started back in 2002, with a completely different lineup. The band consisted of Pedro Martinez on guitar, Timothy L. on bass, and Clint W. on drums. When Pedro quit, the band was put on a shelf for almost a year until a replacement was found. Xavier took over on guitar and a vocalist was also claimed. Mathau added his terrifying growls and screams to the songs to give it the completeness it needed. Clint’s next door neighbor, Joey G. began playing guitar and got good very quickly, he was immediately offered a spot as a second guitarist. Joey enthusiastically accepted this offer and there was the complete lineup! In 2005, they began writing for their 5 track EP, Depths of Clarity. After it was recorded, Xavier was replaced by Jon P. for personal reasons. This marked the new beginning for, Everything Falls Dark! They rehearsed 3-4 days a weeks for hours, just writing new material for a full length album. They knew the E.P. material was just not good enough to get them anywhere, besides get their foot in the door. The band stepped up the heaviness, the speed, and the overall structure of their songs to make them more epic and professional. Finally after nearly a year of hard work, all the songs were written, and all members happy with them, it was time to return to the studio.
The band has recorded a full length album called, Dawn of Darkness. This album was produced by Orlando Villasenor, a local San Antonio producer, who is very eager and good at his work! The band has gotten the master copy back, and it sounds amazing. The release date is not yet known, but they will keep you updated!
Now, 2007, Everything Falls Dark has recorded yet again! Three new songs that the band feels very strongly about, ready to be unleashed! These songs were once again a stepping stone for the band. The new material remains just as heavy and fast, but attained a much darker tone than ever before. These tracks are only the DEMO versions of the songs, and will be placed on the upcoming, Dawn of Darkness release as a glimpse of what is to come on the next album.
Much is in store for a band with such young members and so much skill! Anybody who listens to a range of bands such as, As Blood Runs Black, Lamb of God, The Faceless, Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, and bands of nearly ANY kind of metal can listen to, and enjoy what Everything Falls Dark has to offer!
