About The Cast
Abbie Cardwell
In her very first diary entry at the age of 10 Abbie decided she was going to be a dancer, actress and singer when she grew up. Dancing soon gave way to her acting addiction which led her to study acting at the Flinders University Drama Centre.
This soon gave way to the love of her life, music. With her guitar, banjo, harmonica and "voice of a homesick angel". Abbie continues her passion for performing her own compositions around the world. Already, Abbie has received accolades from Triple J Unearthed to the USA BMI Songwriting Awards in Hawaii.
Abbie's latest album By Hook Or By Crook is due out nationally in Sept. '07 But it is here in Everything's Fucked that Abbie, for the first time, can marry her love of singing and acting in one project.
André Eikmeier
André always dreamed of being in a musical called Everything's F**ked. Really truly. And he was willing to do anything to get there.
Such TV highlights as A Country Practice at age 8, Pacific Drive, Breakers, Bambaloo and Beastmaster, playing half-man, half-horse (ahem) were just stepping stones in his higher quest. Even the ill-fated, straight-to-video soft porn film "All The Way" was just character research for the mighty, mighty Jack.
His schlepping about the Sydney gig scene with bands Hollywood Horns, One Hit Wonders and Supernatural, comedy act Mad Cow Lounge and regular appearances on Good Morning Australia – these were all in the pursuit of loftier goals.
Even his two children Kalen and Lulu were conceived just to gain curry and simpatico with the writer. Well, it's all paid off. Here he is. Everything is indeed f**ked, but in the "I'm 16 and I just got f**ked!!" way, not the "my house just got repossessed and my wife is really a terrorist" way. Which is therefore GOOD!! Everything's great!!
Alexander Jenkins
Alexander Jenkins is graduate of QUT with a Batchelor of fine arts (acting). Theatre credits include Everything's Fucked (Adelaide Festival Centre/Autopilot Productions), Romeo and Juilet (Bell Shakespeare Company), The Real Thing (Sydney Theatre Company), Sleeping Around, The Hot House (Belvor st. Theatre Downstairs), The Song of the Yellow Bitten, Building the Wall, The Jungle, Merchant of Venice, The Three sisters (QUT).
Television Credits include White Collar Blue and Life Support. Alexander is a full time member of Sydney Band York St, and was co-sound designer for John O'Hare's Sydney Production of Stiching. Like the Sean Peter's song, his three favourite things are TV, Pizza and Beer.
Lisa Sontag
Lisa trained in jazz, tap and ballet at Donna Halloran School of Dance in Sydney, then in Melbourne with Julie Cattach. After VCE, Lisa completed a Diploma in Dance at DanceWorld 301, where she was awarded Highest Achievement upon graduating and went on to join the cast of The Boy from Oz. She also performed in Guys and Dolls and Call Me Madam, before furthering her skills at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Whilst at WAAPA, Lisa performed the role of Tzeitel in Fiiddler on the Roof, Sam in Spurboard and Abigail in The Crucible. She was awarded The Lily Anderson Perpetual Prize for her graduation showcase performance and went on to appear in the ensemble of The Producers covering Ulla, performing the role of Frenchy in Grease- The Arena Spectacular, which won her a Green Room Award for Best Supporting Actress, Tanya in the Hothouse/Malthouse Production of Love, and also as Josie in the Australian feature film Wil. Most recently, Lisa has been launching her corporate act Silkpurse, understudying Rhonda Burchmore in Respect and taking dance/drama workshops for school kids in a remote community in the Northern Territory.
