Sounds Like
Your ipod in a blender; pour over ice; garnish with a wedge of rime.
In a world dominated by club DJ's and ipod playlists, Eviction Notice is the only band giving crowds what they want--a seamless blend of dope music from your favorite club bangers to the classic B-Sides you almost forgot about.
When was the last time you heard a band cover A Tribe Called Quest, The Beatles, Snoop Dogg and Radiohead all in the same set? Eviction Notice's seamless sets create a live experience only comparable to a good DJ's mixtape. Add to that a catalog of original joints that blend the best qualities of hip-hop, rock & soul--the freshest fusion you've heard since the 70's--and you've got a live experience on par with some of the most explosive in music history.
Front man Gene Stovall's powerful voice and captivating stage presence are on par with anyone in the business. But the real magic is with the 5pc meal deal behind him. DJ Huggy (via Pgh) - bass, Armstead Brown (via NYC) - keys/MPC, Daru Jones (via Detroit) - drums, Ryin Gaines (via Pgh) - guitar, and DJ SMI (via Pgh) - 1s & 2s. This collection of kats is proven to be able to rock ANY crowd... In other words, "It's just a %*$@ good time."
