We are sad to announce that Evita has come to an end.
We understand this will come as a shock to many people, but we feel that disbanding was a decision we had to make.
We still remain very good friends but various commitments made it impossible for us to devote as much time to the band as we would like.
In the three years since we formed, we have had many member changes and we felt that the final line up was one we could not change, with every member of the band was vital to it functioning successfully. This band was formed by Aaron and a group of friends as a hobby aged just 17, and we did not expect to ever do any of the things we did, such as playing shows in other countries and appearing in Magazines. We're so proud of everything we accomplished, however for the band to progress all of it's members needed to be 100% committed, and this was not possible with university and job commitments as well as other musical projects taking priority in our personal lives.
We felt that we were able to produce music we loved and were passionate about, perform shows we were proud of and do it with our best friends, and to have shared it with thousands of people across the UK and Europe is the best feeling we could have ever had.
Our debut album 'Minutes and Miles' is still available through Basick Records so please buy it as they will NEVER be printed again.
We will be playing our LAST EVER SHOW in our hometown of Bristol on Friday October 30th at the Croft. It’s Hallowe’en so we’ll all be in fancy dress so come check it out! - Spookyfest Facebook Group.

Cran: I want to say a huge thankyou to every single person that has ever had anything to do with Evita in any way. It’s been the best 3 years of my life, I couldn’t have asked for better people to have enjoyed the experience of being in Evita with and I’ll never forget some of the amazing memories I have from touring, writing, practicing and hanging out with the guys in the band, the friends we have and the people we have met.
It’s sad that it’s come to an end but I’m so happy with what we achieved in the time we were together. I would also like to thank my parents, brother, friends, girlfriend, everyone at Basick and Glasstone, the rest of the guys in the band for being some of the best musicians and people i'll ever meet, and all of the Fisher, Thomson, Perkins and Beider families. Thanks so much everyone.

Aaron: From the beginging Evita has been my life and has been for the last 3 years i am so glad the band is ending on good terms and we have finally managed to get an album out there and achieve everything we have over these years.
I would like to thank everybody from the kids that loved us to the nobodys who hated us. I absolutely loved being in this band could not of asked for better people to play with, not to mention the best of friends.
Any one who came to a show sang along with us and believed in us gave us a chance. Bought a CD, Tee or shook my hand you really do not understand how much respect i have for you all as it's one thing making music you enjoy yourself but for other people to love it is something else :)!
All i would say is were playing one last show on 30th October in Bristol @ The Croft

Mike: Id like to thank absolutely everyone who has supported this band, all of the bands we've ever played with, and especially all people that have ever come to a show, bought a tee, hung out and chatted. love you all.

Johno: From the beginning it has been wild ride, there is so many people i would like to thank for what we did this year. But it cant be portrayed in a paragraph. I met some of the greatest people, and from only being in the band just over a year we achieved some really great things. Im going to miss the other 4 guys with all my heart but it ended with every single person getting on great which these days is a rariety, if not impossible. Spending most of my life on the road and traveling hitting new places was pretty much what most could wish for. But we worked hard enough to make it come true.
I personally want to thank my friends at home for the support, or wherever you are in the world, i love you guys. The Barley Family for being a great label and a pleasure to be a part of, and Emma for hooking us up and being one of the few genuine people in this business, Big D. To all the bands that we have played with, i met some of the nicest guys (you know who you are) and i dare say we will bump into each other again. Everyone in Bristol for taking me on as a friend and showing me a goodtime, from hanging out with not one person i know to making some of the best of friends. Last but not least, all the kids who came to our shows, bought our merch, showed support, asked for a photo with my mug. I love you more then you can imagine. I have too much love to shead out, so on that note, all good things must come to an end. But all greater things have a beginning. Living the dream is what its about! Schlove you x

Paul: Thanks to everyone who has been there from the very beginning and also those of you who joined in on the fun towards the end! i just wanna say it has been an absolute pleasure being in this band with my best friends (thanks lewis robbins for asking me to join). I was 16 when i joined and this band and the experiences that have come with it have made me into the person i am today. thanks to my mum and dad for putting up with me being unemployed and especially to dad for lending a grand for the van (we will pay you back dont worry lol). last but not least my amazing girlfriend amy for putting up with me being gone for weeks at a time.
im going to record some acoustic songs and put them up on my page. thanks evita and our fans. last show will be immense!!!
