I have been a professional musican/music teacher since I was 18 years old. Specializing in traditional American folk music, I play fiddle, banjo, autoharp, guitar, zydeco accordion and other instruments. After touring with masterful foot percussionists, I became a clogger too. I grew up in a musical family led by folklorist/professor Gene Bluestein. I performed with my family in numerous countries around the world, often as a result of my father's academic stints abroad and later as a duet with my brother Jemmy. I have been performing in schools around the state of California for about 30 years. The most popular school program by far is my folk dance residency. I am the originator of the Evoharp and Sparrowharp (my own autoharp designs) sold internationally. I enjoy playing zydeco and blues with Bad Boys Zydeco and with my original music ensemble Lyquid Amber. http://cdbaby.com/cd/evobluestein

It's a pleasure to be a myspace pal. Being in the midwest just was treated to a workshop with Karen and Chuck Daniels. So want to help with keeping Autoharp alive and well. My 2 year old granddaughter is already putting on the picks :)
