About me:

"Turn back the pages of history and see the men who have shaped the destiny of the world. Security was never theirs, but they lived rather than existed. Where would the world be if all men had sought security and not taken risks or gambled with their lives on the chance that, if they won, life would be different and richer? It is from the bystanders (who are in the vast majority) that we receive the propaganda that life is not worth living, that life is drudgery, that the ambitions of youth must be laid aside for a life which is but a painful wait for death. These are the ones who squeeze what excitement they can from life out of the imaginations and experiences of others through books and movies. These are the insignificant and forgotten men who preach conformity because it is all they know. These are the men who dream at night of what could have been, but who wake at dawn to take their places at the now-familiar rut and to merely exist through another day. For them, the romance of life is long dead and they are forced to go through the years on a treadmill, cursing their existence, yet afraid to die because of the unknown which faces them after death. They lacked the only true courage: the kind which enables men to face the unknown regardless of the consequences." -HST

Sour Soul w/ Low Luster League
In the year 2007 Sour Soul was formed and its’ members are David (drums & bass), Marco (vocals, bass, sitar, piano & Hammond), Juan Ra (vocals, rhythm guitar & banjo), Javi (lead guitar & bass), and Nico (drums & percussion).
The band’s musical genre is rock with elements of psychedelia from the sixties and also lots of funk, pop, and contemporary rock.
During the Winter of 2007, the band went to Sonic Ranch Recording Studios in El Paso, Texas (http://www.sonicranch.com), and recorded "Frantic" and "Alucinar", two songs produced by Ettore Grenci. In the Summer of 2008, seven songs followed the list; this time, Stephen Stuart Short (Paul McCartney, Echo and the Bunnymen, David Gilmour, Queen, Grateful Dead, Genesis and Peter Gabriel…) was commissioned to produce the material and that’s how the band’s debut album was conceived: Liquid Sky Divers.
Now, in Spring 2009, Sour Soul visited Sonic Ranch for the third time to add four new tracks to the album that were produced entirely by the band and thus, the recording sessions of Liquid Sky Divers were complete. The album’s reissue will be launched soon.

Yeah, I've been considering it for the past year or so. I wasn't gonna tell you guys until I was already on my way out to bootcamp. I was trying to join so I could get the GI Bill for school, and I figured... I'm still young, I wasn't doing anything else with my life. I don't really wanna go back to El Paso, and I am still not married and don't have any kids to think about, I might as well join for the next 6 years. I thought 28 is a good age to settle down, that's how old I would have been by the time I was finished serving my time.

I went to the recruiter's office today so they could let me take the ASVAB test. It's supposed to tell you what positions you qualify for based on your score. Well anyways, I wanted to go into the NAVY or the CoastGuard. I went in and they asked me all these questions about my health history, criminal history, if I was married or had any kids... you know all the basic stuff. Well, when they got to the tattoos questions they said I couldn't join cause it would show since it's over my collar.

It's so stupid! I even have college credit hours, and they told me I was going to get offered a better position because of it. I have nothing to stop me, except for that stupid reason! They say you can't have any tattoos showing. I asked if it was the same for all military branches and they said, " I think the ARMY will take you." But screw that shit I don't wanna join the ARMY. Now I've gotta find something else to do.  This sucks ass
