In the summer of 2005 Ben and Jaroslav Benes, brothers from a Philadelphia hard hitting band (Little Joe Pinto), were searching for a change…a change in musical direction, a fresh lineup, a new beginning. With the addition of Jerry Decker (drums), Mike Massey (bass), and recently Jon Ficco (guitar) their search was over. They called the project evolv to symbolize the metamorphosis within their music. The concept was to create a mixture of vocal harmonies, experimental guitar work and driving percussion. Song after song this concept has been displayed. Evolv has continually developed their sound and audience finding untapped creativity in the world of modern rock, metal, blues, hiphop, jazz, and more. There are no boundaries surrounding this group. Most consistent is their search for change and growth as they captivate their audience by offering a unique sound. Each Show brings a polished and energetic live performance. Listen, watch and judge for yourself. Evolv takes pride in their "Do It Yourself" approach to their music, but it doesn't end there. Together they design all of their merchandise and media outputs such as: music videos, promo and photo shoots, stickers, clothing and apparel, album art design, web design and development, just to name a few. With influences ranging from Peter Gabriel to Sevendust their music reflects a collection of styles and songwriting abilities that are catchy without being cliche, and aggressive without being caustic.
