About me:
Evolve is the second collaborative art project form Darin Slavik. ProjectNEXT was the first involving 16 artists and Darin to complete 22 canvases. Each piece was the collaboration on a single idea between the two artists passing the canvas back and forth to each other through the mail. Two years in the making from first canvas painting and mailing to recieving the final works, ProjectNEXT was a success. Having been displayed at multiple Tattoo conventions and several galleries it will run its final course being displayed at the Hell City respawn show in Columbus, OH.
Evolve is the NEXT step. With a goal of at least 50 panels, plus other media...

Who I'd like to meet:
Tattooers who paint like the world depends on it.
Phase Descriptions::
::Collaborative::
Each canvas in a take upon an agreed subject matter between Darin and the other artist. Each person adding to the piece and mailed back and forth until its completed.
::Exquisite Corpse Method::
A subject matter is agreed upon and then one half of the canvas is completed and then mostly covered with a small amount showing. The next artist finishes the canvas based upon their interpretation of the revealed portion.
::Rogue::
Initially a canvas is mailed to an artist or shop who have proved themselves to be an industry leader in the tattoo and art community. After adding their part they would pass the canvas on to another artist interested in participating and taking each piece closer to completion. Upon a set date it is to be mailed back.
Each piece will be labeled with the pertinent contact info.
