Plus de vingt ans de carri..re et plus de 1000 concerts, six albums, un style inimitable, des choix linguistiques ..tonnants, tout cela donne .. EV une personnalit.. que l'on trouve chez peu de groupes.
EV est un groupe originaire de Nantes et revendique pleinement ses racines bretonnes.
Au final EV compte dans ses rangs trois compositeurs et trois chanteurs, Gweltaz pour le breton, Jari pour le finnois et Fakir pour le fran..ais. L'..quilibre d..licat entre les trois langues, les sonorit..s ..tranges du finnois et du breton (langues que l'on entend tr..s rarement en France), tout cela apporte une fraicheur et une atmosph..re tr..s particuli..res au rock du groupe. EV pratique donc sans contradiction .. la fois l'ouverture sur l'Europe et la reconnaissance r..gionale !
Sur sc..ne, le groupe nantais est irr..sistible. Ses morceaux ..nergiques et d..contract..s atteignent leur pleine mesure.
R..sultat : le quatuor, torse nu et en kilt, met le feu .. tous les coups.

EV figure au peloton de tete des groupes sc..niques, peu de spectateurs en ressortent indemnes, pi..g..s dans les filets de ces monstres de sc..ne.
EV has the experience of well over a thousand concerts in Brittany, France and abroad in addition to the many studio records, one live recording and one "best-of" album.
The group comprises Gweltaz on guitars, bombard and vocals, Jari on bass and vocals, Fakir on keyboards, accordion and vocals, and Tof on drums.
Tof is the most recent member of the band following the tragic death of the previous drummer Harri in April 1997.
At the forefront of the Breton rock scene, EV emerged in the late eighties but really took off in the nineties. Since then they have played all over Europe without counting the miles and have also appeared on a large number of celtic and rock compilations.
Their new album "DIZEHAN" ("No Break" in breton) captures the essence of the band: they have been on the move, on the road, in studios without a break for the last twenty years !
As with their previous releases DIZEHAN is performed in Breton, French and Finnish (Jari is a native speaker through his mother). This rock album shows strong Breton and Celtic influences of course, rich in entrancing melodies, with catchy refrains and energetic rhythms. There is a strong mix of songs written and sung by three different members of the group with diverse personalities.
You will enjoy the full range of their music from a very wild rock to accordion and "bombarde" for more dance and traditional Breton numbers. All of this provides changes in musical atmosphere - sometimes warm and raucous, sometimes dark and sad but also cheerful or nostalgic.
This skilled mix makes EV what it is today - a charismatic stage band with very personal and solid numbers, infectious energy and always in touch with its audience.
