Ewing hails from Scotland, and is now based in London. After a very difficult start in life he discovered his gift and love for music and has been playing music from an early age, starting on piano at age 5. Recently returning from the US after working with acclaimed soul producer Steve The Scotsman Harvey on his demo for Island Records, EWING went on to win the Best Soul/Funk Artist in the recent INDY awards and was also nominated for an UMA (urban music award) for Best Unsigned Act.
EWING is a flexible and varied writer encompassing many styles, but striving always to hone his craft of “the Song”.
He has a strong web presence and has successfully performed in many of the top venues in London, including launching his EP at the prestigious ROUNDHOUSE in London. He has supported a number of artists at the Jazz Café in London
EWING has a number of exciting projects on the go right now with his début album which will appear early 2009. Below are just a few quotes from others in the music industry who endorse his work. Thanks for passing by and for listening. Hope you enjoy the music

"Ewing is the quintessential blend of Marvin Gaye and Sly Stone. His vocal style, and 21st century music arrangements are a breath of fresh air at a time where half the record charts are occupied with silicone enhanced, auto-tuned vocalists".
LaSalle Gabriel, President SLR/SONY Entertainment
2 time Grammy Award winner!

"Ewing is a dynamo of a songwriter and performer. If one could make an artist from elements of legends, Ewing would be the amalgamation of (in my opinion) Prince, Marvin Gaye and Bob Marley (yes really).
A wizard on the keys as well as the pen, he writes those top lines that stay with you past the first listening. A man that has a life story to share and yet manages to convey positive messages even in the most painful of memories. All of this is delivered in an electrifying performance with his unique Soul/funk blend that is simply organic without contrivance. His music is of Grammy winning calibre". Avi Geller - (Manager for The Brand New Heavies)

Jeremy Glover, CEO of the Indy Awards said;
"We created the INDY Music Awards for one specific purpose – to identify and highlight the very best of emerging new talent in the UK. The success of these awards can only be achieved if the recipients are exceptional artists. In Ewing we have uncovered a truly talented writer, musician and performer that will delight audiences and listeners for years to come – this man has Celtic Soul oozing out of every word and note!"
“As a great artist, entertainer and regular performer at the world famous Rock Garden, London, we nominated Paul for the INDY Music Awards this year and were delighted when he walked away with best Soul Funk Act beating off stiff competition from thousands of emerging artists.”
