After some solo projects the three brothers Sascha, Thomas and Stephan Viereck
finally decided in september 2006 to found the band eXcubitors. (one of
the earlier projects was HSST – Pain –, which was released in 1996).

The name eXcubitor has its origin in latin and means the sentinel.

eXcubitors music stands for catchy, electronically synthesizer melodies
carried by male and female (feat.) vocals. The lyrics are partly based on personal experiences, they are very emotional and thought of as thoughtful.
Everything began with the first two releases of the songs “The Prophecy” (25.09.2006) and “Mankind” (13.10.2006).
Songs that followed, like the emotional song “Neu geboren” or the thoughtful song “Rad des Lebens” were awarded by MOM (www.myownmusic.de) as “HIT DES TAGES”.

The first pre-version of the eXcubitors album with the title “Auferstehung aus Ruinen” was finished end of 2006 / beginning of 2007. This beta version was already a big hit and had many thrilled fans. The album was once again refurbished in 2007. Besides some other things there were 3 more brand-new songs composed, produced and added to the album.
The mastering was done by Leo von Leibnitz in the famous studio “Phage Rabenau”, which gives the soon to be released album a very special note.

A professional release of the eXcubitors album “Auferstehung aus Ruinen” is scheduled for end of 2007 / beginning of 2008. Stay tuned!

Die Band eXcubitors wurde offiziell im September 2006 gegründet, nachdem bereits viele Einzelprojekte der 3 Brüder, Sascha, Thomas und Stephan Viereck die Arbeit dorthin stützten und den Weg für die eXcubitors ebneten (u.a. Projekt HSST - Pain - Auskopplung Jahr 1996).

Der Name eXcubitor hat lateinischen Ursprung und bedeutet übersetzt Wächter.

Die Musik der eXcubitors steht für eingängige und elektronische Synthesizer Melodien, gestützt durch männliche und weibliche (feat.) Vocals. Die Texte basieren zum Teil auf persönlichen Erfahrungen, sind sehr emotional und sollen zum Nachdenken anregen. Mit den beiden ersten Single-Auskopplungen "The Prophecy" (25.09.2006) und "Mankind" (13.10.2006) fiel dann auch der musiktechnische Startschuss der eXcubitors. Folgewerke, wie das emotionale "Neu geboren" oder das gedankenvollen "Rad des Lebens"wurde mit dem "HIT DES TAGES" auf MOM ausgezeichnet.

Ende 2006 / Anfang 2007 wurde eine erste Vorabversion des Albums "Auferstehung aus Ruinen" fertig gestellt. Diese Beta-Version kam bereits bei einer großen Zahl von interessierten Hörern sehr gut an. 2007 wurde das gesamte Album noch einmal überarbeitet. Es wurden u.a. 3 Stücke dafür völlig neu komponiert und produziert. Das Mastering, das im renommierten Studio Phage Rabenau von Leo von Leibnitz durchgeführt wurde, verleiht dem bald erscheinenden Erstling der eXcubitors abschließend eine ganz besondere Note.

Der Release von "Auferstehung aus Ruinen" ist für Ende 2007 / Anfang 2008 über einen professionellen Vertriebsweg geplant...also stay tuned...
