I’m back baby! Well, I haven’t relay gone anywhere, but my MySpace page did. So really, it’s back… baby.
To everyone from my previous MySpace existence, sorry I disappeared for so long. I’ve been working on some stuff and making some changes and stuff. As for my last page, uh, my dog ate it. Wait, it was web based…My Webkinz ate it. Please find it in your heart to forgive me and be my friend again! Tom did!
For everyone that’s never seen me before in their lives and is wondering why in God’s name they’ve remained interested enough to keep reading this far, well, good for you. I’m an up and coming writer here in New York. I’ve written stuff across all the genres and all the formats because it’s what I like and I think it makes me look schizophrenic… I mean eccentric… I mean eclectic. No, diverse. That’s the good word.
My first book, a work of science fiction is out (and has been for a while now actually) and is available here.
I’ve also written a few television and movie scripts, information on which can be found at my website richhynes.com.
As for what I’m working on now, well that’s a good question. I’m glad you asked. I’ve been working together with writer/director Mike DiSario on a few things. We’ve finished work on our first feature length screenplay tentatively titled “Sara”, which is the flagship project his new production company called Trouble in a Box that he’s setting up with Melissa Rubin. We’re also gearing up to shoot two short films (more on those later) and the new web series DMT.
Some of Mike’s previous work, for those of you who are interested, (and I know you all are) are the critically acclaimed web series War of the Dead: Zero as well as a short film titled “Synthetics” which you can see on his page.
So, that’s where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing with myself. (For those of you I’ve digitally neglected, I apologize. I’ll make it up to you somehow!)
