English version: Exhumation (Spb) was formed in 1997 and almost immediately began the concert activities. After recording few demo tapes band has released their full length album "Symbol Of Fear", which received good reviews in Russian and foreign metal press and webzines. The band performed from small clubs to large concert halls around Russia, sharing the stage almost with all well known Russian metal bands like Shadow Host, Amon, Inside, Seducer's Embrace, Absurd, Gods Tower, Sacrifice and etc. Exhumation (Spb) temporarily suspends the performances, because of the fact that all musicians have been busy with side projects. In late 2008 the band re-appears on the metal stage of St. Petersburg with the new line-up. Currently, the band has just finished recording and mixing their second album, called "City Of Decay" and looking for label. The album was recorded with participation of Sergey Bredis – Vocal (Inexist ) and Anton Kravchenko – bass (-t De Sangre). The album was mixed and mastered in «Navahohut» (Moscow) led by Arkady Navaho. Shared the stage with many popular groups as it Catamenia (Finland), My Grain (Finland), Final Down (Finland), Korumba (Espana), Degradead (Sweden), etc. At the beginning of 2012 was released internet-single - Windwalker. Now the group is actively concerts as a trait of St. Petersburg and beyond and prepares material for new album ---- Russian version: Exhumation (Spb) образовались в 1997 году и почти сразу же приступили к активной концертной деятельности. После записи двух демо-лент группа выпускает свой полноформатный альбом Symbol Of Fear, который получил хорошие отзывы в русской и зарубежной прессе . Группа часто выступала, как в маленьких клубах и в больших концертных залах по всему городах России, переиграв почти со всеми известными металлическими командами России и не только, как то Shadow Host, Amon, Inside, Seducer's Embrace, Absurd, Gods Tower, Sacrifice и т.д. В 2001 году Exhumation (Spb) на время приостанавливает свое существование и в конце 2008 года группа в обновленном составе вновь появляется на металлической сцене Санкт-Петербурга. В настоящее время группа только что закончила запись и сведение второго альбома, который называется City Of Decay и ищет лейбл для его издания. Альбом прошел сведение и мастеринг в студии Navahohut под руководством Аркадия Навахо. В записи альбома группе помогал вокалист Сергей Бредис и бас-гитарист Антон Кравченко. Делили сцену с многими "фирмачами", как то Catamenia (Finland), My Grain (Finland), Final Down (Finland), Korumba (Espana), Degradead (Sweden) и т.д. В начале 2012 года был выпущен интернет-сингл Windwalker. Группа продолжает активно выступать, как в черте Санкт-Петербурга, так и за его пределами и готовит материал для нового альбома.

EXHUMATION is one of the most recognizable extreme-metal bands of St. Petersburg. The style of the band can be characterized as medium-speed old-school Swedish melodic death that can hardly be found among the latest releases. Formed in 1997, EXHUMATION become one of the pioneers of melodic death metal in Russia (along with “Absurd” and “Seducer's Embrace”). After recording two demos ("Unholy" - 1997 and "The Wandering" - 1998), the band records its first full-scale album "Symbol Of Fear", which was released in MC-format under the Fenka R'n'R label. The material received positive reviews from critics in Russia and abroad, but was not released in CD format and didn't gain wide recognition because of the dull promotion work of the label. In 2001 EXHUMATION took a break for the reason of disagreements inside the band. At the end of 2008, after going through some lineup changes the band returns to the stage. In 2011 the recording and mastering of the second album "City Of Decay" under the METALLIZM RECORDS label were finished. The album was mixed and mastered by Arcady Navakho at Navakhohut studio. The album was recorded with assistance of guest musicians: Sergey Bredis – vocals (Inexist) and Anton Kravchenko – bass guitar (-t De Sangre). EXHUMATION shared a stage with such bands as Catamenia (Finland), My Grain (Finland), Final Down (Finland), Korumba (Espana), Degradead (Sweden), Monoscream (Sweden) etc. At the beginning of 2012 Internet single “Windwalker” was released. Presently, the band is working at the material for a new album again.
