The word EXIGH is a reference to the Roman Numeral 11. The numerical reference to or symbolization of balance.
Exigh began with the rap duo Rbiz & JaeO. It was in early 2005, when a earlier altercation sparked up conversation between the two. Over the next year on the road together the discussion of a duo cd came up often. Setting out for "Tha Takeover". Rbiz and JaeO knew this collaboration had to crush all local land marks. The driven duo released the album at the historic Wilma Theater in Missoula, Mt. It was huge! Quoted by Mark Dinerstein at the Knitting Factory "That was headliner status". This album would gain minor national attention. Rbiz & JaeO became Winners of the I.A.R. award (Independent Artist Registry) in 2007. Unfortunately due to life circumstances Rbiz would need time to step away from the mic. Leaving all tour plans abandon. JaeO began recording Achers 2nd solo project "Dirty Technology". Working on projects with Reg & Acher, JaeO kept forming what he believes Exigh is to be. In 2009 after two mixtape releases and the "NUM3R1CA" ep. Rbiz came back to the studio with a solo project in mind. Today Rbiz & JaeO are both working on solo projects due out in the near future.
*** RBIZ & JAEO THE 2007 WEST COAST INDEPENDENT ARTIST REGISTRY WINNERS.
"The Music Phone Book is proud to announce hip hop group RBIZ and JaeO as winners of the 2007 West Coast Independent Artist Registry, or IAR for short. Each issue, the MPB staff pours over dozens of entries sent in by unsigned or independent bands and musicians. We’re looking for those few who really stand out when it comes not only to musical talent, but the illustration of professionalism, passion and commitment to their craft as well.
After carefully reviewing the many albums and press kits in our offices, we found the Montana-based rap duo RBIZ and JaeO to exemplify everything we look for in an "IndiE Award" winner: a solid fan base garnered by their work ethic and commitment, drive and ambition against all odds...and, of course, raw talent, as showcased by the pair’s somewhat unique—and definitely cunning—musical style." Josh Bashara (mpb 2007)

* 2001: Release of "Hollowman". Recorded and mixed by Ian Greenwood. This album began in Pueblo, Co in 1999. To date this is still my most popular release. A very heavy and intense album. Capturing a year long trial. Released approximately one month before my sentencing date.
* 2004: Release of "Correspondence". Teaming up with friend Larkin Matoon know as Acher. The concept behind the album was our return home. Both friends had spent the last few years in the system. Only Acher, had just completed 4 years in The United States Navy. Recorded in Joe "Dupro" Wetzels closet under his stairs. This album was built off of concepts that were taken right from the pages of our notebooks and thrown to beats. Covering two completely different paths in life. Linked by letters.
* 2005: Release of "Payback". More the style of "Hollowman". This album portrayed allot of anger & hatred. Not comfortable with a position back in society. I let it out on this album. Through all the fog and confusion of life. It was the song "Like Poetry" that gained me, JaeO as a rapper, a little more notoriety.
* 2006: Release of "Tha Takeover". It was in late 2005, when a earlier altercation sparked up conversation between Rbiz and I. Over the next year the discussion of a duo cd came up often. We set out for "Tha Takeover". Knowing it had to crush all local land marks. We released the album at the historic Wilma Theater. It was huge. Quoting Mark Dinerstein at the Knitting Factory "That was headliner status". This album would gain minor national attention. Rbiz & JaeO became Winners of the I.A.R. award (Independent Artist Registry) in 2007. It would be short lived though. 2008 would bring a year of tests. Early into the year Rbiz would step away from the mic for personal issues. Leaving all tour plans abandon.
* 06.11.2008: "Outside da-Box Productions Mixtape Vol.1". This mixtape was compiled with unreleased music from the recordings of "Tha Takeover". I think Outside da-Box Productions did a great job providing long awaited co-labs from other local & regional artists such as: James Two (JiggyWatts), Young Jay (Nine Side), Contact (The Elite), JaeOne, & General Fate'Al (Paleface).
* 09.11.2008: Produced "Dirty Technology" from Acher. I began recording "Dirty Technology" (Achers 2nd solo album) in June 2007. Releasing the underground earthquake on 9/11/08. The navy veteran Acher, unleashed his lyrical abilities onto his listeners. Touching on topics that the avg. listener my over look. I have always believed, since 6th grade, that Acher is one of the greatest lyricist of our time.
* 04.20.2009: "Numerica 4/20 Bootleg" This was released for the show on April 20th at the Wilma in Missoula Mt. Opening for Tech N9ne & Murs. Just a preview of what is to come on the highly anticipated Numerica release. With tracks featuring, Rbiz, Acher, Reg. and myself PrinceJaeO. This disc was sold for $5 and was in limited press just for the 4/20 show.
* 06.23.2009: "Strictly Digital" Yet another release featuring the Exigh camp. "Strictly Digital" (aka OdBProductions Mixtape vol.2); which features several artists from PrinceJaeO, RBIZ, Acher, and Reg, to the likes of Nickel B (of The Linx), The Elite (Contact and The Jessta), Young Jay, and OverTime. With this release we are trying something new. The digital release of the album has been setup to where the fans may choose to pay how much they want to for the digital album. The catch with it, is the minimum price is 1-cent (blame PayPal, not us) Also, just as a heads up, the physical release is available only on a CD-R - but rest assured! You won't be getting a burned-CD with some scribble in replace of a professional looking label. No, we want everything to be as professional as possible; the CD will have a label printed directly on top of the CD. Besides, it's a mixtape, the type of stuff that is "sold out the trunk!"
* 07.28.2009: "Numerica" The Highly anticipated new EP from Exigh. This EP features Acher, Reg, Rbiz & JaeO. A collection of 7 songs for the digital copy and 8 for the physical copy compiled over the last 2 yrs. A high energy and show rocking compilation of songs. This is the (4) artist peeking at there collective creativity!
