Alternative-Goth Rock: analyzing it thoroughly you can discover even that there are many more influences and peculiarities than simply from Alternative-goth.
Elements brought from classical music and even from the early 20th century academical music, very melodic vocals, all mixed together to create a particular sound but still commercial, dramatic and emotional.
Existence formed as a band on September 18th 2006,
but its name is far older: in fact it was created by Keith at the very beginning of the same year, in the middle of a night, to symbolize the music and the character of the band. A perfect choice, because it clearly represents the mood of the songs and lyrics
– always speaking about things related to some aspects of life –
and the ideal of a constantly new and changing music, that is what Existence wish to be recognized for.
Voice:
Davide N. Flauto alias Keith Andrie was born in Magenta (Milan - Italy) on February 16th 1988. He started singing various musical genres very young, at the age of eleven. He studied lyrical music for three years, from thirteen to fifteen years old, as a tenor voice. At the age of fifteen he decided to change his music vision, opening to rock music and starting singing rock songs by other bands. Fascinated and completely involved in this new genre, he began to compose his own rock songs and lyrics, and introducing in them elements brought from classical music, he made his rock unique.
Main Composer:
Alessandro Calvia alias Axel was born in La Maddalena (Sardinia - Italy) on September 12th 1988. He is the “essence” of the band because he is the main composer of Existence’s songs. He started studying piano at the age of twelve, but he writes music since he was eleven years old. His musical studies were focused on classical music only, until he met Keith, who introduced him in the world of rock music and convinced him to work together writing their own rock genre, a mix from alternative-goth and symphonic rock.
