Filmmaking (but that's not really an interest it's a profession). Music, philosophy, economics health and politics.
Music
Debussy. Beethoven Mozart, Brahms, Scarlatti, Bach. Oscar Peterson Thelonius Monk, Budd Powell Bill Evans.
Movies
Stranger Than Paradise, Rocky, Solaris (Original Tarkovsky version), Titanic, The Lady Eve, Citzen Kane, Seventh Seal.
Television
nothing regular. I flip around when I'm bored of reading and movies.
Books
Fiction: "On The Road" and "Virgin Suicides" are my favorites.
Non Fiction: too many. Plato, Aristotle, Shopenhauer, Kant, and lots of books about them. I love semiotics (god help me) and get a kick out of Ernst Cassirer (did I spell that right? ). Love to sit in Barnes and Noble and pretend I'm going to read Hegel's "Science of Logic" while waiting for my wife to finish browsing.
Heroes
People who were rushing into the Twin Towers on 9-11 when everyone else was running out., Anyone who helps us move beyond racisim, sexism, ism-ism.
