This Saturday is the album release show for the Brian Haas album "Petting Sounds". Visit BrianRoyHaas.com to download this gorgeous improvised symphony for solo piano for free. The album release show is a benefit to support the Carrie Dickerson Foundation. Carrie Dickerson was the leader of the Oklahoma movement to keep nuclear power plants out of the state. It is movement as medicine. Rooted in the innate wisdom of the body, natural flow of the breath, and pulsing rhythm inherent in all life.
It's an opportunity to let go of the mind and allow the body to be moved by rhythm, to disappear into the wave of sound, to offer your bones back to the dance, to offer your sweat as a prayer, and to gather in community to celebrate.
