Influences
That's what makes this band so great, we ALL love hard rock music, however each of us is influenced by different perspectives of that genre. While we all share an affinity for bands like AC/DC, Green Day, Aerosmith, etc., we all have our own individual tastes. Pat's faves include Sublime, Allman Bros. (read: stoner rock), while Dave's tastes tend to be a little more eclectic, i.e. everything from Zappa to various celtic influences. Ken tends to favor anything with a punk-edge and Jeff listens to a variety of modern and indie rock. Larry prefers classic rock bands such as April Wine and Queen. Mix up all these influences and what do you get? A great set list that keeps everybody in the house intrigued from the opening chords all the way to the final decaying cymbal crash. We are constantly working at adding fresh material; our friends and fans check in often to see what we've been working on since our last performance. If we're not playing your favorite rock song now, stay tuned...it could be in the works.
Sounds Like
An exploding encyclopedia of rock and roll; a bit of Aerosmith here, some 3 Doors Down over there, and a shitload of AC/DC coming right at ya. Look out!
Exit 88 is a classic & modern rock band who prefer to present possibly familiar songs in a whole new edgy format. You won't hear us playing the same ol' same ol' bar band cover songs. Instead we like to mix it up with great music from the 60's all the way to the latest rock radio hits; personalized Exit 88-style for your listening pleasure. Great examples of our diversity include playing overdrive versions of stellar classics such as "Jumping Jack Flash" and then slamming into something unexpected like Nirvana's "Breed," or Sublime's "Smoke Two Joints." We get great pleasure when satisfied listeners tell us they've never heard a particular song we've played covered before, let alone covered in our particularly unique presentation.
Exit 88 is a 5-piece group based in the homely burg of Rochester, WA. The members have been involved in a number of musical outlets before having the honor of finding each other. This particular lineup has been together since Mar 05, resulting in what we believe to be the best version of Exit 88 to date. We have a lot of fun onstage, in rehearsal, and when just hangin' out; the chemistry most definitely comes through during our performances.
We are embarking on what we hope to be a life-long project and have already acquired a number of new friends and fans, many of them now sporting the new Exit 88 t-shirts. Our list of events is growing and always changing. Please check here often to see if we're playing a venue in the South Puget Sound area near you. We're always looking to add some new friends to our growing army.

You guys are probably crazy busy and its also probably a good break for you guys, to just wait for larry to get all fit to play again.
