Exit Music Group launched officially January 2008. Exit Music Group is a fresh and unique organization whose primary goal is to bring a range of creativity to music, art, and live performance. We are bringing talent, vision, and pure passion under the umbrella of ARTISTRY. The body of EXIT is composed of EXIT festivals, EXIT productions, bands, artists, fashion, soundstages, and artist development. EXIT Music Festivals official event kick off was held at Mercury Hall on December 12, 2007 (for more information and to get a up close and personal look at EXIT fest events check out pictures and talent line up on www.myspace.com/exitmusicfest). EXIT Music Group designated a goal and overall mission to couple TALENT with opportunity. There is a vast majority of musicians/artists that have an abundance of talent but never get the opportunity to showcase their talent. We give them the venue so the world can DISCOVER with providing a strong fan base and promotion for upcoming events. EXIT Music Group will be coining new and improved ways to make local music/art accessible to the public. We are all about viewing “ART” striped and expanding minds with Music, Art, and live performance. Bringing people together through performance and passion of there craft will always be a common denominator in life so we invite you to EXIT out of the everyday and enter into the music. E.X.I.T Festival is PROUD to use every event to bring awareness and light to special causes. The December 12 E.X.I.T Festival brings light to a special project called THE MISSY PROJECT. A portion of the proceeds collected at the fest will go to support THE MISSY PROJECT to help bring awareness to Brain Aneurysm Disease (B.A.D.) in children through education, outreach and early detection. WE also are partners with the SHORELINE House. The Shoreline House holds service every saturday and feeds the downtown homeless population. They also supply clothing, shoes, jacket, warm blankets, and any item that will help to those in need. They work off donations for food and clothing essentials. They also need people to serve and be apart. "I tell our volunteer's every weekend that you never know how deep of an impact that a single conversation or a cup of cold water or a hug is going to have on the people that we serve at the Shoreline House/East." WILL MATTHEWS! Your Musical Orchestrator and FOUNDER of EXIT MUSIC.Hey friends, I’m having a festival this summer July 5th at Waterloo Park in Austin, Texas. This festival, the EXIT Music Fest, will appeal to everyone. Which is why we picked the 5th of July to have our show. This show will showcase the best of Austin’s talent, and some other things that will keep in the spirit of keeping Austin weird. I am not Austin born, but I am Austin grown. I went to Pillow Elementary School, Canyon Vista Middle School, and Westwood High School (graduated in 2000). I had the great opportunity to go to and play football at, the University of Texas. I spent a little time in the NFL in Detroit. So I know a little about being and living in Austin. I have always loved music , so I started a company and decided the best way to get out there big, was to do something big. I want you guys to be a part of something cool and local. I will be sending you some info about what I am doing and the vibe I want to create. There is no, one type of music that I am going to put on stage. From Hip Hop to Country to Rock and anything in between. I know you guys will want to be a part of Austin’s Best new festival.
