A Minor Forest, Baroness, Neurosis, Saviours, Skeletonwitch, Russian Circles, The Shipping News, Joan Of Arc, June of 44, Slint, Shellac/Rapeman/Big Black, Charlottefield, Richmond Fontaine, Pelican, No Age, Unwound, Fugazi, etc etc etc.
Movies
The Dark Knight was the last thing I saw, and on Imax, which means I dont really need to see anything else, maybe ever. But I've been eBaying a bunch of crap I missed when it came out anyway: Be Kind Rewind, The Comedians Of Comedy, Jesus Is Magic, Thumbsucker (I actually saw this when it came out but its pretty epic... like a more authentic/less-MTV Napoleon Dynamite) and the Best Of The Ladder Match DVDs.
Television
Friday Night Smackdown, Arrested Development, Mr Show and Ms. PacMan.
Books
I've been about halfway through Erich Fromm's The Anatomy of Human Destructiveness for about the past 5 years. I read some Vlautin, Miller, etc. in between.
I miss the Tower Books magazine rack on Broadway... a lot. Color, Juxtapoz, Lemon, iDn, Lodown, Skyscraper (best record reviews), Computer Arts UK, Semi-Permanent, Faesthetic (what's up with that $9 shipping stuff?), Swindle, Hi-Fructose.
Heroes
All around devours of planets Kevin Grady and Colin Metcalf, Mark Searcy and Brian Gibb, Jessica Hopper, Grant Purdum, Michael Gondry. Biggest Influences Andy Howell, ESPO, Ian Mackaye, the Skinn Dogg, Aaron Cometbus, Sean Cliver, Jim Phillips, Jason Lee, Ricky Steamboat vs. Macho Man Savage in Wrestlemania 3, Larry Hama Jr. Artists In The Cars That Go Boom Aaron Horkey, Emil Kozak, Scott Barry, Mike Giant, Geoff McFetridge, Jakob "Plastic Kid" Printzlau, Gunsho, InBlackWeTrust, Ryan Waller, Waste, Skinn Deezy, Pushead, Todd Francis, Todd Bratrud, UPSO, Mega, Craig Metzger, John Dyer Baizley and probably like a million more.

Folks that do stuff. Like DO stuff, not just say they do stuff. And I dont even mean that in a dirty way or anything... I mean, like, just dont sit around watching sitcoms all night and bore the shit out of yourself and then complain how you would do stuff, but you just dont have any time.
"In a recent study, six out of ten 18-35 year old men said that they believe they will become famous in their lifetimes. Four out of ten believe they will become rich."
Now that's an interesting statistic you've posted.
What do they know that we don't know - and what have I been doing wrong all this time?
I would like to thank you for accepting the invitation to my "friends" list. I am always glad to meet others in persuit of the arts. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
