Exit Verona formed in March 2003 when the members of Pearl Jam tribute "Riot Act" teamed up with singer Mike Difilippi, formerly of the New York City rock band Clinton Road. The two were introduced through a mutual acquaintance, and the quintet began writing and rehearsing on a daily basis, penning twelve original compositions within an eight week period. Influenced by a diverse array of artists including Ben Harper, Radiohead, Luna, Pearl Jam, Elliott Smith, and Pink Floyd, Exit Verona blends urgent punk rock guitar riffs with ethereal melodies and introspective lyrics. The result is a parade of contagious choruses and pointed chord progressions. Exit Verona has performed at many of the area's premiere rock clubs, such as CBGBs, The Lion's Den, Acme UnderGround, Don Hill's, The Continental, and Kenny's Castaways. Exit Verona is currently recording their second full length album and are currently looking for a label to call their own.
