Football (from the terraces...), ice Hockey(from the terraces too...), writing (contributor to Cockney Latic, MFE, Gueule Elastique and WSC - mainly about the sociological aspects of fandom and "ultra culture"), reading, , gastronomy, beer (CAMRA member - no beard yet but I like wool jumpers...), single malts, photography and walking in the great outdoors. I'm a curious and open minded invidual, with a humanist outlook on life. Interested in politics and current affairs.
Music
Tangerine Dream is my favourite band, particularly their 70's period. In general, soundtracks, electronic stuff - original ambient, experimental, Detroit techno, classic Jazz like Charlie Parker, heavy metal in the Metallica mould (up until And Justice for all). My favourite radio shows are Late Junction on BBC Radio 3 and the sunday shows on Couleur3.ch, ecclectic and open minded.
Movies
Blade Runner, Alien, Dirty Harry, Clerks, The Warriors, Slackers, Stranger than Paradise, Big trouble in Little China, Repo Man, Akira, Unforgiven...No particular genre really, I would say Clint Eastwood, behind and in front of the lense is a firm favourite mind you.
Television
My favourite channels are BBC4, Film4, Sky Sports News. I'm quite a fan of The Sopranos, CSI Las Vegas, 24 and The Sky at night....I like documentaries, current affairs, sports and arts programmes.
Books
Jack Vance and HP Lovecraft are my two litterary masters. Amongst my favourites you can also find stuff by Guy de Maupassant, James Ellroy, Jay McInerney, Tim Parks, Peter F Hamilton.
I'm an Italo/Swiss born in Canada, who has lived most of his life in Geneva and Manchester. I consider myself a Genevan with a Manc twist. I wouldn't mind going to live in Scotland, particularly the Western Isles which I have visited more than once (Jura and Skye being my favourites)
