Generation X...sort of.
Sounds Like
Sounds like nothing before. The Revolution Summer (DC 1985) bands owe a lot to the efforts of Empire.
Derwood: It's music that's natural to us. If people aren't playing what they want to, other people can sense it's false. It's moody music with a lot of feeling in it. We're in a world of our own, and we just hope other people will go along with it.
Derwood: We grew up in Generation X. By the time we wanted to express ourselves things were already established. We left.
Laff: Fortunately, we didn't have to go through the usual route and audition hundreds of bass players. We were really lucky because we saw one bloke who was standing at a bus stop who looked great, then we saw Simon. We chose him because the other bloke got on the bus.
