The candle sits in shadow,
    as I light it's wick to say.
    That I am thinking about you,
    in a very special way.
    The flame it shines brightly,
    and breaks apart the dark.
    In my room, and deep inside me,
    just as the very sparks.
    Within your eyes in moonlight,
    within your precious smile.
    Within your undenying love,
    you go the extra mile.
    To make sure I am happy,
    so I give to you my friend.
    My love and dedication,
    I'll be here until the end.
Glowing so ever-brighter,
   than in the past two years.
   Glowing so enlightened,
   a courage beyond fear.
   Growing so ever-wiser,
   experiencing extremes.
   No longer to be shadowed,
   a perfect truth at ease.
   Dancing within the darkness,
   in the shining stars.
   Dreaming within daylight,
   denying any scars.
   Smiling so ever-brightly,
   a new reality.
   Feeling so ever-better,
   the aura surrounding.
   I have become myself,
   I have become light.
   Becoming so comfortable,
   within the dead of night.
   Nothing to erase me,
   or what I do believe.
   Nothing overtakes me,
   worthy to receive.
   The love and care so given,
   so cherished and so true.
   The colors now so beautiful,
   with long forgotten blue.
   Now truly deserving,
   and receiving all the same.
   And when I am to pass away,
   remember in my name.
