About me:

Hey, I'm out to promote veganism and inspire people to respect animals through action, education, and outreach. I'm based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota

I work to reduce the suffering of factory farmed animals through outreach and education such as distributing leaflets, cable access shows, food giveaways, and speakers. I also work on building a community of people concerned about these issues, and I enjoy hosting potlucks, dine-outs, and other social events.

it need not matter whether we have always or never talked. i have you on my friends list, and i want to share this with you.

a friend sent this text message to me. i do not know who the original author is, but its message is something worth a think.

"One day, there will be two days on your tombstone. And all your friends will read them. But all that is really gonna matter is that little dash between them".

enjoy life. and thanks for being on my friends list.

SILENT BUT DEADLY.
Did you know that farmed animals produce more greenhouse gas emissions (18%) than the world's entire transport system (13.5%)? Or that nitrous oxide from animal manure is around 300 times as damaging to the climate as carbon dioxide? Or that methane ( cow and sheep farts/burps to you and me) has 23 times the global warming impact of carbon dioxide?
MAKES YOU THINK DOESN'T IT?
The only genuine way to cut down these harmful emissions is to stop eating meat. To find out more visit www.vegsoc.org/environment , or order your free booklet on 0161 925 2000, green@vegsoc.org.
It's not just a lot of hot air.

Thank you for adding us as a friend! We are new to myspace and not very well known, but we have been quietly working and documenting the animal cruelty around the world. "We are there with the animals."

have you considered handing out rice products such as milk, ricecream, etc? i have a few friends that aren't veg of any kind but they reacted well to the rice products i had them try. i find it has a smoother taste than most soy on the market.

Thank you very much for the add!! :D I'm a proud eighteen year old vegetarian girl from Mexico ,I find your space very informative and useful, over here ,due to education: animals rights and vegetarianism culture is not very widespread, this is a real shame...Wish this could change one day!
You guys make me feel very motivated to get more active and spread the word. Thanks again!! :D

PLEASE CROSS POST WIDELY

President Bush signed The Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act
(AETA, S.3880 ENR) into law today, Monday, November 27th.

The AETA not only puts our constitution in jeopardy, it puts all of us who speak out against the status quo in jeopardy. Animal rights activists, civil rights activists, the media, entertainers and even the NRA are all in danger of being called "Terrorists." The broad language in this bill creates a dangerous, slipperly slope that can be used to take away our first amendment rights and put innocent people in jail!
The bill was fast-tracked through both the House and the Senate by the biomedical industries -- people who have everything to gain by silencing legitimate protests against their cruel animal abuse. Click here to see the official language of the bill as it was signed today.
"LCA has been at the forefront of fighting and opposing the AETA on a national level. Former Congressman and lobbyist for LCA, Charlie Rose, has been working feverishly against the AETA," states LCA President Chris DeRose. "This is not over for LCA, this is just the beginning."

Fight the AETA

Contact your Senate and House Representatives and let them know you oppose the AETA and their complacency during the passing of the bill.
Visit www.house.gov and www.senate.gov for contact information.
