HAVE POETRY? PERFORM IT ON CABLE TV!!!

EXSE Spoken Word is a poetry showcase honoring National Poetry Month hosted by channelAustin (formerly Public Access Community Television PACT) in April 2009.

For EXSE Spoken Word, poets and spoken word artists are invited to perform up to 10 minutes of original work. One acoustic musician may accompany you in your performance.

or simply send us a message through MySpace. Karla will then contact you with all the details of the broadcast and the forms you will need to submit along with a written copy of the text of the intended performance, plus a $10 submission fee by the deadline-Friday, April 3, 2009.

The text of your intended performance must accompany your entry form. The submission of a VHS tape, CD, DVD, and other supporting material (press kit, photos, etc.) is optional, but recommended. channelAustin (formerly PACT) cannot guarantee the return of any material submitted with this application.

If selected, there will be an additional $15.00 production fee. You will receive one master DVD copy of the segment that includes your work. Additional DVD copies of your performance can be ordered from channelaustin (formerly PACT) at an additional fee, and will be reproduced from your master DVD.

You will then become part of the EXSE Spoken Word showcase set to air April 24, 2009 from 12pm-12am. Encore presentations of the showcase will be aired many times during 2009 and upcoming years on channelAustin's Cable channels 10, 11, and 16.
