For more than a decade, Extasis has been dazzling audiences with their brand of fiery and poetic tango music. Founder Evan Orman and violinist Erin Furbee conceived of playing Argentine tango with utmost devotion and dedication to authenticity. The band's instrumental lineup consists primarily of bandoneon, solo violin, bass, and piano. Their late bassist Kenneth Harper leaves behind a legacy of stellar arrangements that give the group the signature sound of an Orquesta Tipica. With their orchestral arrangements (quartet plus symphony orchestra), Extasis captures the grandeur and glory of the Golden Age of Argentine tango, delighting dancers and symphony-goers with a thrilling, unforgettable experience. -
