Extra Sausage was formed back in the early '80s when a group of mere acquaintances joined forces and hit the studio with all the fury their tiny bodies and weak minds could muster. At the start, the band just chanted and stomped their feet in time with a drummer.
Eventually, the other members brought guitars into the studio. A few months later, they put strings on the guitars, and the rest is history. Over the years the band evolved, dropping the slide-whistle keyboard and epic storytelling of Supermarket of Death, Electric Yak and The Manta Rays for a heavier, tighter sound on Aluminum, House of Prayer and Mars.
The Band broke up in '93, but that is not going to stop them. Their raw live music was recorded by a single condenser mic simulating the experience of being there, as a young but slightly deaf person.
