I am very particular about music. I can't tolerate top 40 stuff. I enjoy classical music, Folk, Jim Croce especially, jazz, chip music, sountracks, and in general, music that requires actual talent to compose.
Movies
Favorite movies are Star Wars, Star Trek, Conan, Fantasia, Pink Floyd The Wall, Beatles Yellow Submarine, Indiana Jones Series, and I like most movies with Hugh Grant in them. I find his humor witty and clever.
Television
Most of the shows I like are canceled. I thoroughly enjoyed ALIAS, Seinfeld, Young Indiana Jones, Twilight Zone, Star Trek, etc. I hardly watch television anymore, with the exception of Survivor. Even with the invention of the DVR. I would rather spend my time on-line.
Books
I've read quite a bit over my lifetime. I used to read mostly fiction during my high school years. I actually ran a comic book business for a while, but for the past ten years or so most of what I read is highly technical. I spend time reading books on psychology and human interaction, programming, and history. I subscribe to GQ, Wired, Business Week, Revenue Magazine, Website Services Magazine, Forbes, and Eweek.
Heroes
David Rockefeller, John D Rockefeller, Howard Hughes, Steve Jobs, George Lucas, and Walt Disney to name a few.
I'm fascinated with business but aside from it, my interests are psychology, WW1 and WW2 history. Especially Soviet history. I collect propaganda and oddities from various world cultures. I also collect bizarre popular culture items. I enjoy foreign languages and have been studying Russian for a couple of years in my spare time. I'm not so bad at it. (Ya ne plaho)

I am a goal oriented business guy that has more projects on the go at any one given time than I know what to do with. Not all of my endeavours are business related. I've been known to subsidize outlandish pranks and personal objectives as well.
I enjoy the challenge of growing a company and watching it transform from an idea to a successful business. I've been involved in online advertising since 1996. I have authored a number of articles on the subject and have headed a number of successful companies and organizations.
(I love high fashion. In the above photo I'm wearing a Cambridge Jacket with an Armani Shirt and Tie)
My closet is pretty much lined with wall to wall Versace, CK, Gucci, Prada, and so forth. Great clothes inspire me to come up with new ideas and help me to communicate those ideas when I have them.
I have a knack for figuring out what untapped talents and motivations people posess and then I work directly with them to help them exceed their goals. Of course, I do this within a framework of involving them in a business but it is a synergistic and mutually experienced process that we participate in together. It costs them nothing but the confidence and persistance it takes to cause action. I am very lucky to be surrounded by so many close friends with diverse and formidable talents.
In August 2006 a close friend of mine was visiting with me on the street in front of my house. He looked up and said with his gruff yet joking tone "Russ, you realize that if you keep this up your entire street is going to be working for you." and we laughed about it for a second but then I realized that in fact out of the six houses that were lined up in a row, four of them belonged to people that I've had working for me on either a continual or part time basis.

The Mastermind ..
You have a head for ideas - and you are good at improving systems.
Logical and strategic, you prefer for everything in your life to be organized.
You tend to be a bit skeptical. You're both critical of yourself and of others.
Independent and stubborn, you tend to only befriend those who are a lot like you.
It is in their abilities that Masterminds differ from the other Rationals, while in most of their attitudes they are just like the others. However there is one attitude that sets them apart from other Rationals: they tend to be much more self-confident than the rest, having, for obscure reasons, developed a very strong will. They are rather rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population. Being very judicious, decisions come naturally to them; indeed, they can hardly rest until they have things settled, decided, and set. They are the people who are able to formulate coherent and comprehensive contingency plans, hence contingency organizers or "entailers."
Masterminds will adopt ideas only if they are useful, which is to say if they work efficiently toward accomplishing the Mastermind's well-defined goals. Natural leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command of projects or groups, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead. Once in charge, however, Masterminds are the supreme pragmatists, seeing reality as a crucible for refining their strategies for goal-directed action. In a sense, Masterminds approach reality as they would a giant chess board, always seeking strategies that have a high payoff, and always devising contingency plans in case of error or adversity. To the Mastermind, organizational structure and operational procedures are never arbitrary, never set in concrete, but are quite malleable and can be changed, improved, streamlined. In their drive for efficient action, Masterminds are the most open-minded of all the types. No idea is too far-fetched to be entertained-if it is useful. Masterminds are natural brainstormers, always open to new concepts and, in fact, aggressively seeking them. They are also alert to the consequences of applying new ideas or positions. Theories which cannot be made to work are quickly discarded by the Masterminds. On the other hand, Masterminds can be quite ruthless in implementing effective ideas, seldom counting personal cost in terms of time and energy.
