Extrema events are well-known for its unique and laidback atmosphere and decoration.
In 2002 Extrema’s main festival Extrema Outdoor was chosen as ‘Most Enjoyable Festival of the Year’.
In 2003 and 2004 the festival was nominated as ’Best Festival in the Netherlands’.
Last years over 40.000 people witnessed successful, sold-out festivals with the likes of James Holden, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Sasha, Axwell,Danny Howells, Roger Sanchez, John Digweed, Erick Morillo, Steve Angello, Pete Tong, Anthony Rother and many many more heroes.
Just as successful as their events is the Extrema record label. Extrema Records is also part of the Extrema family. Headed by labelmanager Bas Baetsen, this label has got a very bright future ahead of it, specialising in sounds ranging from progressive to phatt quality house music. Extrema Records is aiming at original quality music, original stuff with a strong edge and for 2009 you can expect high tech forward thinking studio work from one of dance music's finest purveyors.
Over the last two years Roger Dassen, the head honcho behind Extrema Music, has received many release-worthy tracks and some of them were so good they never left the CD-player at his office. After much contemplation Roger decided he needed to do something with all this great music, hence Hot Kitchen Records was born.
Extrema Music has proven to be a serious player in the quality dance segment and more and more people are getting aware that Extrema Music is delivering the goods.
