Going to gigs, chatting to fellow Metal Heads, drinking beer and listening to Metal.
UPCOMING GIGS
December 27th
Kataklysm are not playing the London show.
Music
Death, Thrash, Doom, Black, Grind, Folk. hell there are so many subgenres but basically if it kicks arse and is proud to call itself "METAL" then it'll get listened to and featured here.
Movies
old war films,
horror, action, porn
Television
There are no quality Heavy Metal shows on TV that I know of, let me know if there is anything cool coming up on the box ;-)
Books
I like Metal fanzines, but rather than go into that I'm gonna use this section to post up banners for things of 'Metal interest'
So many great people have picked up a guitar or bass or sat behind a drumkit or stood in front of a microphone stand. Anybody who plays Metal is cool in my books.
About me: This page is an extension of the Extreme London Metal Militia MySpace Group.
Click on the banner below to go straight to the forum & post up all your Metal related chat, information, promotion, gripes, criticism, love... whatever!! Got a gig, or a band need members? Anything? Get posting.
I am hoping that everyone who is in the group will add themselves to this page & that everyone that adds themselves as a friend here, or who accepts a request from me, will add themselves to the group.
I'm hoping that through this profile & the forum Metal Heads in the London area can find out about gigs, clubs, demos, zines, etc. With a bit of effort & some help from the E.L.M.M members I'm hoping to create a comprehensive event calender that you can check out to see whats going on in the capital. So mail me info on your gigs/clubs etc so I can post them up here.
This space is dedicated to passing on info about, gigs, bands, clubs in the London area & beyond.
Who I'd like to meet: Metal Heads in the London area & beyond for gigs, clubs, festivals, parties, etc. As long as there is Metal and beer!!
The debut full-length opus, 'Escaping The Abyss', contains eight tracks of majestic progressive black metal, contrasting extreme elements with graceful passages creating a sound that is refreshingly original and unique. Blending together a wide range of different musical influences, (including the likes of Enslaved and Opeth), Fornost Arnor have created an unmistakable style... one they have made very much their own.
'Escaping The Abyss' is available to order now through Witch-King Records, and will also be available through CD Baby, iTunes and Rhapsody as digital MP3 downloads soon after.
NEW ALBUM ON SALE!: 'We Bake Our Bread Beneath Her Holy Fire', the third studio album from Thumpermonkey Lives is now available direct from www.genin.co.uk, (and other sources linked from here. If you need convincing, you can listen to / download the whole thing here). Also, check out the ecstatic latest review from Organ Magazine, and check out the video to the album's closing song '419' here.
