OUTFLUENCES & UPFLUENCES: as a child I sat with a red plastic radio that very much resembled an unused bar of soap, FM didnt exist - it was LW/ MW & UHF. Radio Luxemburg as well as Radio Caroline the pirate boat station. these were the two major source of all the music in my formative years. I used to go through two transistor radios a fortnight, the device switched on and wedged insde my pillow at night. It was the original walkman with a beige earplug through which poured the distorted sound of rock, soul, pop, jazz, reggae, classical, folk, country, blues, funk as well as 'where does that come from'? music. The lyrics of writers up to the present date is endless and the voices of inspiraton infinite so to name a very few:- James Brown, Billy Halliday, Nat King Cole, Marvin Gaye, John Lennon, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Bob Marley, Sly Stone, Rolling Stones, Led Zepp, Commodores, Third World, Elton John, Sex Pistols, Stranglers, Johnny Cash, Freddie Mercury, The Jacksons, Gregory Isaacs, Cameo, George Clinton, Frank Zappa - right up to present day artists. Thank god the list is never-ending!!!

in music is as varied as my own if not more so.
