About me:

Eye Care Center is located at 2320 E. Villa Maria in Byran Texas. We are on the corner of 29th & Villa Maria across from St. Joseph's hospital and Blinn Community College. We offer same day service on glasses and contacts, and provide outstanding quality and service to each of our patients.
Dr.s Belinda Dobson O.D. and Sue Simpson O.D. specialize in managing eye diseases such as: glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, ocular hypertension, dry eyes, recurrent eye infections, corneal uclers, and a host of others. Our doctors take provide comprehensive eye exams that enhance optimum visual function and sound ocular health.
Often times, severe systemic conditions may be diagnosed in a thorough eye exam. Dr.s Dobson and Simpson are equipped with the most innovative technology to screen your eyes for such underlying diseases as brain tumors, malignant melanomas, hypertension, diabetes, and hyper-lipidemia. Our doctors are highly trained in the use of high definition cameras to evaluate the retina, optic nerve, and maculas, as well as extensive visual fields that screen for precise retinal function.
Eye Care Center provides the most thorough glaucoma screening exams, complete with a visual field insturment, pachymetry, a fundus camera, and GDx. Pachymetry is utilized to determine corneal thickness; a risk factor in glaucomatous patients. A GDx is similar to an MRI of the eye and evaluates the retinal nerve fiber layer that is subject to damage in patients with glaucoma. If diagnosed with Glaucoma, our doctors are highly trained to initiate treatment and manage the disease progression.
