I had a dream the other night.
I dream of you reading the words I write.
My words offered to you some comfort in your life
I know that some do not care for poetry.
I know to only a few I do not mean too much of anything.
However, what gives me comfort, is you each night.
I want to thank you, for all who said, but one word to me.
I want to thank all writers from the innermost part of me.
I want to thank each singer, dancer and actor from the very soul of me.
For you all have inspired the writer in me.
I know that some "do not give credit, where credit is due."
I know to only a few they refer to me as a mere fool.
However, with you my friends, in my war, I have truce.
I love YOU!

I wondered for a long time, how I would make through life.
Now my reader and friend, there be no need to think twice.

A loved one has gone home today--their life, allow us to celebrate.

A man hurt me not too long ago.
My heart was so cold not too long ago.
Yet, I was yearning for a man to hold me close.
Yet, I wanted a man to release me from the cold.

In my life many things have come and gone.
I have met many people,
I have made many choices,
some decisions were right,
and so many choices were wrong.

is a choice I will never live to regret.

People continue to hurt my feelings.

I say, if I choose to go on I will give in to sin.

My mother tells me I am paranoid.
My aunt thinks, that I “take too much too heart.”
My father tells me to leave it alone.
My father says that, "a enemy has no worth.
My sister says, "enemies don’t make the world."
My mind tells me to be a mother to the kids I birthed.
I remember the lies my husband said.
I remember those who wished I dead.
I hear you when you say things about my myspace page.
You ask why I do not show my real face.
I hear you say my writings are ok.
I know your smile in my face is fake.
I now that evil is on your tongue to taste.
At one time I thought the merit of life was based on economic statuses and accomplishments. It wasn't until I heard of the songstress Aaliyah, that I knew that life was based solely upon spirituality. One can see and acknowledge a person's talents, but we all will see and remember an angel's contributions and gifts. Rest In Peace and continue to comfort your family and friends, our loving angel Aaliyah.
