I dig all kinds of music, but I lean tward the harder shit, but also dig alternative, jazz, classical, and blues. Nothing beats seeing live music, so I try to get out as much as I can. Some of my favorite local bands are: Third Grade Teacher, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Red Onions, 400 Blows, Breech, Fire Bug, The Ditty Bops, Black Mass Media, Asher, Grand Marque, Kind Hearts And Coronets and of course Eagles Of Death Metal. More to come, obviously.
EODM @ The Jimmy Kimmel Show 7/16/06:
....
Me & Jessie after EODM performed at The Jimmy Kimmel Show.
Pam & I NYE Countdown at the EODM show at The Roxy. A kick-ass fucken show. Can't upload the other files because I had the resolution set too high...I'm a bonehead.
........
Here is a giff of when Pam and I were volunteers for The When You Dream A Dream Foundation. Zynthia (A wonderful physically challenged young woman, activist and artist) got a chance to meet her favorite band....Wolfmother, after their sound check at the Dec. 12, 2006 show at The Hollywood Palladium. A truly unique and special experience.
Movies
I have a sick and twisted pallete for movies. Lynch is my favorite director. I just got Eraserhead from his website. Mmmmm, bitter sour. Koyannisquatsi has got to be my all time favorite visual and auditory film. Happiness is my favorite dark comedy, but I have to say that Monyt Python's Life Of Brian is my favorite straight comedy film. Still want to get to know me?
Monty Python - The Holy Grail - The Black Knight Scene
..
Blue Velvet - Frank Booth - Baby Want's Ta Fuck Scene
..
Just a little chunk of sumtin trippy (give it a minute or two to load - it's worth it):
Here is a clip from The American Astronaut. A great little dark sci-fi musical that has some Eraserhead flavor to it. Amazing cinematography, story and music.
Television
I just watch HBO for their movies, mini-series, and documentaries. I don't watch commercial television. I watch comedy, news, and educational/historical channels otherwise.
Books
I don't read much due to my dyslexia, but still try to read as much as time and energy will permit.
Heroes
Martin Luther King, Paramahansa Yoginanda, Bruce Lee, Luke Skywalker, Napolean Dynamite and my Mom.
About me: •••> My Website is currently down. Things have caused it to be temporarily defunct.
I'm a digital retoucher. Retouching for Photographer's primarily and working on getting my book together to doing Movie Posters. I work with Photoshop all day long in a dark room. So, needless to say, I'm a little twisted. My daily grind is to make people look more attractive than they really are, color correct and retouch images to get them ready for public consumtion, a lot of "Industry" stuff. Retouching images in a most unnatural way and making them look untouched is what they pay me for. Turning Shit into Gold. I like to call it "Making the unreal appear real" hence EyeConArtist.
I'm also working on developing my Voice Over reel. My ultimate dream is to do voices for cartoons. When I get that carrer going I'll probably creat another profile for that.
I'm engaged to a wonderful woman, Pam (bizhead), that has come into my life. I feel recharged, revitalized and relaxed with her. Now, for my children, yeah das rite, I gots kidz. I have three beautiful children. Malachi (Malick) 13, Shayne (Shanoobie) 8 and Talula (Lula Girl) 6. I get them on the weekends with the help of my Fiancee. They're challenging, but their love, affection and characters make it all worth it. Pam has two kids Joseph (Josiphus) 14 and Naia (Naialator) 8. All together we're a head count of 7....we call ourselves the Hapa Bunch.
I love going to art openings/exhibits. Meeting new, cool people is a needed experience for me. I dig meeting other artists that have the same vision and ones that don't, too. People that are down to earth; have an open mind, dig learning from new aquaintances, inspire others, try to make a difference and having a sick sence of humor...
Who I'd like to meet: David Lynch:
The master of manifesting creativity inspired by dreams and just general disturbia.
..
