Influences
Since I've been locked up in Guantanamo Bay since I was five years old, my only influences have been Journey's 'Greatest Hits' and Huey Lewis and the News, 'Fore!' which were played simultaneously day and night. The only thing that kept me going during those dark, dark days was the hope that one day "Open Arms" would sync up with "Happy to be Stuck with You" in a "Dark Side/Wizard of Oz"-esque sort of way.
"Vow of Silence" is written from the perspective of a woman who's husband takes a vow of silence and never speaks to her again. For the man's perspective, read "History of a Disturbance" in the New Yorker.
