Sounds Like
Journey, Danger Danger, Asia, Tyketto, Winger, Last Autumn's Dream, and all that sounds AOR/Melodic Hard Rock...
After innumerable by trial and errors with several other bands, the songwriter Marcio Tex makes up one's mind to do yourself project called EYEZOFIRE. It's a project-piece melodic rock from Rio de Janeiro, originally formed in 2001, the brainchild of Mrcio Tex. The best Marcio Tex ever, he's just released his entitled "The Lost And Found Demos 1995 - 2001", bringing some of his own songs recorded with such bands as Riogang and Strong Winds.
A far cry from his first audio offering, those into classy AOR/Melodic Rock in the vein of the best Tyketto, Danger Danger, Journey, Rainbow, Malmsteen, Purple are sure to enjoy the band. His sound is built on choruses so big, you can see it coming from the last verse of the previous song, and hooks so sharp, neuro-surgery is the only recommended way to get it off your mind. TEX's delivery is so compassionate and heartfelt, and make it sounds like he was suffering from heartbreak instead of heartburn. Cuts like "Playing With Fire", "Don't Give Up" and "Too Hard To Hear You Say Goodbye" are examples of EYEZOFIRE's gift of keeping it hard while never losing the flow.
In 2003, Marcio's recorded a classic Journey song "Forever In Blue" for the Frontline Rock Records to a tribute album featuring another mainstream artists, but it's never released.
Now, he plans to record a full album in 2009, to play in several shows and to promote his music getting airplay in both Brazilian and overseas radio shows.
Marcio Tex wants to show that's possible to make clichés music and still sound real.
Melodic Rock above all.
Relax and heat up the fire...

THE DEMO ALBUM
"The Lost And Found Demos 1995 - 2001" demo CD-R is the first EYEZOFIRE totally non-profit material and it's the follow up to the intense persistence in hard way into melodic rock. The album have a long time to complete as I've been writing songs for "The Lost And Found Demos" during a two year period to make sure that I had some the best songs possible available for this first demo album.
"The Lost And Found Demos 1995 - 2001" was record at the Up-Town Studios, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1995... (band STRONG WINDS), and J. C. Digital Studio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil during its ups and downs in 2000/2001/2002 and the entire recording took about ten months to complete.
The demo album features a mixture of tracks and rough mix with a lot surprises on the first listen. The basic formula is one that contains a blend of melodic hard rock and AOR with an 80's vibe to it.
Opener "Rio by Night" is an up tempo rocker that has an inspiring harmonica in the middle of it somewhere, reminding of Kix. This is followed by the mid-tempo hard rock meets AOR of "Too Hard To Hear You Say Goodbye" . The best moments are "Playing With Fire" and a Nazareth tune "Love Hurts".
Hope you enjoy it!!

We can't live in a vacuum:
MARCEL JACOB
..
January 30, 1964 - July 21, 2009
..
It is with deep regret & remorse I, along with fellow members of Talisman, am announcing our brother, long time colleague & overall greatest musician we've ever played with, Marcel Jacob, is no longer with us as of today, Tue July 21, 2009. Marcel took his own life after many years of personal & health issues he was battling.
We were mere days from starting what would have been our 8th Talisman studio album together, celebrating the 20 year anniversary of the band. I spoke with him just yesterday about finalizing the details that would get us started only to get the news this afternoon that my friend merely gave up on it all.
I want him to be remembered as everything I have already mentioned above but more so, he helped influence so many musicians & songwriters. He was a quiet, gentle soul with a very intense passion for his craft. I have been associated with him since 1984 but it was when we started Talisman is when he truly became a brother, one of my dearest friends.
It is far too early to say anything now but I plan to organize a memorial for his legacy, although not known by the masses, the ones who do see him as the genius I know he was.
R.I.P. my friend, you will be sorely missed, you will be in my heart forever & I'll see you on the other side...I hope now you will get your dream & jam with Phil Lynott!!
