About me:

About me... these are so hard to figure out what to write in these boxes sometimes. I had something written in here at some point, but in the many times I have re-done my page, I inadvertently erased whatever I had here. I'm sure it was really exciting. What would one want to know about me if one actually gave enough of a crap to read this? I like playing world of warcraft ... enough that it almost seems like an obsession.. enough that we re-did a room in our house so that we could watch tv and game on our new couches. I love spending all my time with my husband whom I met in college. I am a homebody that hates to be dragged out of my little hobbit hole. And my parents wonder why I never want to hang out with them... they taught me to covet 'home' by never letting me do anything as a kid. They would say otherwise these days, but anyone who knew me back in the day, would agree I lived through the telephone. I love dogs, almost to a fault. I think of my dogs as my babies. I cook for my dogs, they sleep wherever they want and they get the best of care. They may be rotten, but they are loved. We love movies and television so we watch a good deal of them while not questing in world of warcraft. I love all makes/models of Ford Mustangs. My first car was a 1989 Ford Mustang LX. My husband's first car was a 1965 Ford Mustang. We now have a V6 2006 Ford Mustang w/ Pony accents package. I am a librarian, so big surprise, I love to read. Mostly I like to read science fiction/fantasy and horror novels. I love it that I have a very demure appearance and folks are often shocked by what I read or what music I enjoy. It amuses me greatly. I love all sorts of music but my love is 80's Rock/pop and heavy metal. Somewhere on this page, I list my favs, so I won't list them again here... Anyway, that's me.

Ozzy Truly is The Man! Awesome World of Warcraft commercial.

Who I'd like to meet:

I can't say I have anyone who I have alway's "dreamed" of meeting. The only famous people I can say I have ever met are Anne Rice at a book signing and I was so damned nervous that I acted afool when I met her and Laurell K. Hamilton at a book signing -- I was too new to reading her to be so overwhelmed by her which is good so that I was able to just talk to her and tell her how much I enjoyed her books. She was really cool and sweet. Maybe I'm too old to get so nervous I can't talk anymore. I met Laurell just about 5 years ago while I met Anne a long time ago when I was still young and shy. I'd like to say that I'd love to meet Cleopatra or King Tut or slap Hitler around a little bit, but what good would that do? What insights could they give us about where we are going when our worlds are so different? Yeah, people haven't changed, but not sure they have any more insight than we do to what this world means... and even if I ever did meet a cool, famous person... so what? Do I expect that they'd wanna be my bud? They have so much of a different life than us normal working slugs that they are above having to worry about how to pay off the vet bills for our dog who keeps having issues, or when can we get the gutters fixed, etc. I know they have other issues that we can't pretend to know about, and I wouldn't trade my world for that, but I guess what I'm saying is that I'm not some media hound that is so way impressed with celebrities that I'm going to make a list here of the people I'd love to meet. Nuff said.

there are other brands they make that are similarly made with windows, some came out more recently made by Dell but they are shit. Gateway still make some computers but I think it's one of those things they don't really advertise. They make the e-machines you see at places like Best Buy. They are also pretty crappy by nature but I heard are supposed to be better than the older ones. This iMac is friggin amazing! It's neat too because I was able to transfer everything from the macbook to this one over wifi. kick ass.

The iMac is the desktop mac that has everything built into one piece and just looks like a monitor. I DID buy it, getting it setup now. 24" of awesomeness!!
  • May 1 2009 2:47 PM

I'm going to see it sunday hopefully. I have a friend that wants to go but isn't sure if she can yet. Otherwise nothing too exciting, although I may just buy an iMac! I've been considering it for a while and really want one. So at least I'll be browsing the Apple store shortly.

It wasn't as bad getting away as I expected. It seems like less people and traffic the last couple years for some reason. Our boss set a goal for us that if we made we would be off tomorrow and we made it so I get a three day weekend. Pretty happy about that!

  • Apr 11 2009 3:24 AM

I listen to radio at work but it mostly sucks because they repeat stuff too much- especially Aerosmith & Rolling Stones, both of which I hate now because of it
  • Apr 9 2009 9:21 PM

Since you said that I've noticed them on the rado more but it may just be me
