A sperm whale mating with a beaver monkey, the sounds of an oil refinery somewhere off in the distance.
An eclectronic experiment in music and lyrics gone terribly left-field. EZ-Play is a product of collective life experiences that, for better or for worse, can't be fully expressed working in a single genre. Our albums could be described as mix tapes you'd give to a friend, lover, or stalkee, but with all the songs by the same band.
EZ-Play does gravitate towards things funky, particularly hip hop. However it is also industrial, folk, and even metal from time to time. Through it all a penchant for the psychedelic often emerges.
Formed by 2 college friends in 1997 in Washington DC and adding a 3rd necessary mix master in 1998, who now collaborates remotely from New Zealand, EZ-Play has put together more than 5 albums worth of material over the past decade and are hard at work in the studio concocting a 6th album release.

My main goal is to appear and perform my original poem, "Half Hearted," on The Ellen Degeneres Show. I've been working on this goal for 2 years, and I can't give up.
