EZQ Universe is a Nigerian-American Hip hop Artist/Producer born in an apartment complex in Port Harcourt City, Nigeria. He later moved to the Bronx, NYC in 1981 where he embraced the Hip Hop culture and its rawest form - street poetry (i.e. rap music). He later resided in London, UK for 2 years after completing a law degree and masters in entertainment law. He is currently based in Abuja Nigeria travelling from country/continent to country/continent doing underground shows for passionate followers. During his late teens, EZQ Universe surfaced Nigeria briefly where he re-invented his unique lyrical and artistic style. Outside the radar, he has generated a buzz and a solid artistic reputation on the African underground scene since 1992 pushing out unpublished mix tapes via the internet. He integrates elements of diverse cultures in his music without compromising quality. His music is heavy influenced by the original style of hip hop owing to his musical roots in the Bronx, NYC. He is presently working on an undisclosed debut commercial project which is set to be released in 2012.
