Meet The Fab4Fundraisers
 | LUCY Alongside Martin, Lucy is responsible for booking the bands and venue. Amongst other things she markets and promotes the event throughout the year. On the day she makes sure proceedings run to schedule and hosts the auction and raffle with Martin. Lucy like the rest of the Fab4Fundraisers is involved in fundraising outside of our Annual December event.
A project she has been involved in within the last year or so is "The Field of Women - Awareness" which Tom Southern of the Linda McCartney Centre told Lucy about the Field of Women event, she thought was a brilliant idea.

Lucy picks up the story from here "Me and my friend Gilly (who was undergoing treatment for cancer at the time) talked a lot about being there. We were looking forward to being in a field in Liverpool, standing side by side with thousands of people to form the silhouette of a woman the centre has named LUCY.
In fact we giggled at the thought of us in pink ponchos and said we would celebrate by waving our hands in the air!
Sadly, Gilly died last year.
Gilly touched my life and many other people's lives with her good humour, kindness and bravery, I miss her.
To make sure Gilly fulfills her wish I will be attending the Field of Women event for her.
There are many ways to support this wonderful cause. You can register yourself and take part in a breath-taking and touching moment in time when people will come together and the image of LUCY will be broadcast to the world.

 | MARTIN As well as been a co organiser of the event is responsible for the setting up the backline PA System and he also finally completes the sound-checks prior to our events.Then once the event is underway he is also the host and compare. He is also known to belt out a few rockers during the Jam Session at the end of the day. Martin has also recently co founded along with Marie Rock4Mac - which is an entertainments initiative,we are curently planing to host nationwide events next year.

 | MARIE Marie as well as been a co coordinator of the event is responsible for the design of our Brochures we have done prior to our events.
She is currently actively helping the cause Macmillan Cancer Care with the organisation of some aditional fundraising activities. Marie has a long association with Macmillan as her Nan was a Macmillan Nurse.

 | EILEEN Eileen came on board with the Fab 4 Fundraisers after our first event back in 2002 and manages ticket distribution and administration. As the F4F Treasurer she looks after the accounts side of things. She has also introduced the tombola and organizes the raffle on the day.

First Event December 2002
Our first event was organised over the weekend of 7 and 8 December 2002.
On the Saturday 07 December things kicked off with an unplugged session at The Grapes On Matthew Street.
Featuring one of the very first outings of Top George Harrison Tribute – Gavin Pring.
The Finale was the following day when The Prellies toped the Bill for us at The Jacaranda.
Another very strong supporter of our early events was and still is, Chris O'Neil from the film Backbeat.
Who of course as you all know played the part of George Harrison in industry award winning film.
Ever since that date 5 years ago back in 2002 The Jacaranda has become the home of the Fab4Fundraisers Annual Christmas Charity Party.
Then shortly before our 2003 event Eileen Carter came on board with us
We very soon decided to give ourselves a name which people could relate to a bit more, so in 2004 we became known as Fab4Fundraisers.

THE PRELLIES Our Christmas Party’s would not be complete without inviting these lads back as they have been with us since the start, when we did our first ever event 5 years ago.
Formed back in 2002, The Prellies take their inspiration from the UK Beat Group explosion that took place in the late 1950's/early 1960's and particularly the Hamburg sound of the Beatles, The Big 3, Rory Storm & The Hurricanes, and Tony Sheridan. |

THE SHAKERS These Merseybeat purist, have played our event for the last three years.
Many would say the finest band 60s band since as they never ever fail to recreate that authentic Merseybeat sound a feel, wherever and whenever they play. Its almost as if you have travelled through The Merseybeat Time Tunnel! |

GARY QUINN Garys a one band with a super repotrie of original material,covers.
During the 90s he toured extensively,his band 'The Bobby Charlton’s' were supporting big names such as Blur, Squeeze and John Martyn.
Gary keeps himeslf busy right through the year performs at Beatle festivals around the world, including Liverpool Beatleweek and Abbey Road On The River USA.
Expect to hear the great sounds of The Traveling Wilburys, through to The Beatles,Small Faces and so much more |

THE HEYZE
The Heyze originally formed in Auchterarder, Perthshire,but are now Liverpool based.
They take their influence from the likes of All classic Merseybeat, Bob Dylan,The La's, Buddy Holly,Gene Vincent,The Beatles,Velvet Underground, White Stripes,Super Furry Animals. It a real pleasure that they accepted our invitation to come along and play at our 2007 Fab4Fundraisers Event. |

EMMA FORMAN Emma Forman I believe is a superb original talent. Over the past few years as well as developing her own solo career, fronting several well known bands in the area of Glasgow. During this time Emma has also shared the stage with Midge Ure and Fish(Original Marillion Frontman.
