Bio

Bio:
A native of Trieste, Italy, Fabio Poian is a versatile drummer and has been involved in many musical projects in which he has played a variety of styles.

He has had the opportunity to play everything from Metal to Jazz and Gospel to Pop in ensembles as small as a Funk trio and as big as a 50 piece brass band.
His talents have taken him on tours across several European countries including Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, and the Czech Republic.

On November 29th 2007 Fabio won the final of the Italian under18 Groove section “Drummer of Tomorrow” competition which was organised by Mapex in Bologna, and hosted by Dom Famularo.

One of Fabio's latest works is the album "Iterations to Reality" by the Italian Hard Rock/Metal band Fist of Rage, which was recorded at the New Sin Studios(Treviso, Italy) and released by the record label Andromeda Relix.

In October 2009, Fabio moved to the United States to study music performance at the Los Angeles Music Academy College of Music under the guidance of world class drummers such as Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Tony Inzalaco, Gary Ferguson, Richie Gajate Garcia, Aaron Serfaty, Dave Beyer, Michael Packer.
He has also had the opportunity to play and study with bassists such as Jerry Watts, Steve Billman, Phil Bynoe, and Rufus Philpot.

Fabio is currently living in Los Angeles and working both as the drummer for the Celtic Rock band Stand Easy and as a freelance musician in a variety of projects and lineups.

Biografia:
Nato a Trieste, Fabio Poian è un batterista versatile che ha preso parte a numerosi progetti musicali nei quali ha suonato in molti stili diversi.
Ha avuto l'opportunità di suonare ogni genere dal Metal al Jazz o dal Gospel al Pop in svariate formazioni dalle dimensioni di un trio Funk fino ad una banda di 50 elementi.
Queste abilità hanno portato Fabio a esibirsi in diversi paesi europei tra cui Italia, Germania, Austria, Slovenia, Croazia e Repubblica Ceca.

Il 29 Novembre 2007 Fabio ha vinto la sezione Groove under18 della finale italiana del concorso "Drummer of Tomorrow", organizzato dalla Mapex a Bologna con una giuria composta da Dom Famularo, Alfredo Golino, Giorgio Zanier e altri nomi della batteria italiana.

Uno dei suoi ultimi lavori è l'album "Iterations to Reality" della band Hard Rock/Metal Fist of Rage, registrato ai New Sin Studios(TV) e pubblicato dall'etichetta discografica Andromeda Relix.

Nell'ottobre del 2009 si è trasferito negli Stati Uniti per studiare music performance al Los Angeles Music Academy College of Music con insegnanti del calibro di Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Tony Inzalaco, Gary Ferguson, Richie Gajate Garcia, Aaron Serfaty, Dave Beyer e Michael Packer.

Al momento Fabio vive a Los Angeles, California.
Oltre a suonare con la Celtic Rock band Stand Easy, lavora come musicista indipendente in vari progetti e formazioni musicali.
