Well, Fabonacci has been effectively on hiatus for one reason or another for several months now.
This is partly because our guitarist James has been out of action and partly because I'm supposed to have been finishing our third and latest EP.
I haven't, because I wanted to see how the commitment level for 2009 of the core members of the band would pan out first and I didn't want to commit to completing the EP if the band wasn't going to operate as a cohesive unit in the future. There's no point in making music if theres no infrastructure to promote it.
This turned out to be a good move, since Alan has now indicated that he has no further interest in continuing. I haven't discussed precisely what he means by this with him, but its good enough for me to choose not to expend further effort trying to get the band rolling for 2009.
I will finish the EP, but I'll do it in my own time. For the moment I'm going to concentrate on my other project Twin Lizard which is about to launch a new, completely free EP.
We'll still send Fabonacci's music for FREE to anybody who wants it though, just let us know if you do.

"Fabonacci may be unheard of now but surely as more and more people succumb to their brand of dark guitars then things will change. One of the best unsigned bands we’ve heard in a long while, take heed and search them out now," - Shadders Online
"...the lead singer has a phenomenal voice, one that sounds more like a polished pop star than someone from an indie rock band...songs are emotionally charged, haunting, and not overdone...This band is still working to establish a wider fan base, but with music this interesting, it probably won’t take too long. " - Delusions of Adequacy
”…one of the highlights of 2007 unsigned scene….the perfect blend of melancholy and melody…. a welcome change to the corporate rock music proffered by such stations as Radio One and XFM,” – Sonic Garden.com
”…melancholic beauty somewhere between Japan and Moby ….Tunes that would be perfectly at home on local radio as well as the main stage at Glastonbury…. there’s no denying the calibre of the songwriting. At every turn, Fabonacci have the flair and drama to prove that nice music can be good music,” – Overplay.co.uk
I will take time out to listen to your stuff and give feedback as appropriate.
I'm busy at band rehearsals at the moment though, so will reply at length in the next few days. First impressions are VERY good though! :-)
Hope you like my band's music too. We're in the middle of rehearsals for an upcoming tour in 2009 to promote our debut single 'Movie Star'. Check out our video too!
Just thought I'd tell you that we in Amber Oak have recorded some of our material which is currently available at our myspace. So if you have any spare time, please have a listen and if you want to, you can also download the tracks to your computer.
Any feedback, good or bad, would also be greatly appreciated!
