Hi! My name is Kristie and I design and sell washable, fabric photo frames, and other products. My site is at fabricatedframes.com and I invite you to take a look there. I got into designing photo frames about 8 yrs ago, because I LOVE fabric, and what better way to use fabric than on accessories for the home! I went to school for interior design, loved the product design intro class, designed a china tabletop pattern and a fixture for the china pattern, and loved my textiles class, so I figured why not combine the two loves. Eventually, I'd love to design fabric patterns, textiles, and tabletop items, like china. I thought that fabric could be on many things for the home, and why not make the products washable. Another reason I got into designing with the medium of fabric, was because I thought that people deserve to have ANY kind of fabric on their pride and joys, their photo frames. And to find a way for people to have them inexpensively, (or expensively if you wish, lol), would be ideal. I used to think, "Why can't this expensive $100/yd fabric be used on photo frames, or accessories, and make it washable, if possible?" Still working on that goal, lol, but it should be made available, that option. I'll be blogging my trials and tribulations, or shall I say my "wacky experiments", needs for better products, great finds, and useful tips to all. lol :D I actually got the idea for making frames, a) because mom had no lie 100 photos on display at one time in the living room, and I come from a family that lives on getting the $3.99 packs of Kodak photos for 24 photos and b) saw a Carol Duvall episode, which got me thinking that I could design better fabric photo frames than that which is on the market. __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________ purchase instructions for making ribbon roses shown on site $3 -instructions on cd, photo step by step, that you can print out, and .mov files that you can view on your computer in Windows Media as mini movies, taken with a digital camera. 1 foot of ribbon per ribbon roses, 4 inches of ribbon per double ribbon leaf, per ribbon rose. It was very eerie, especially that night. They used water from Atsion lake to put it out.
